Still debating on myself...

I know the feeling. That could buy me a nice PC laptop. Or an iPad Pro. Interesting is I bought that model this morning in Space Grey and got a 9/25 delivery date. I've never bought Apple Care before, but the button was right there and I did it this time. If this becomes the first iphone I drop and break I will feel psychic and vindicated.

Agreed, the are 9 am reservations at my local Apple Store for most models including a 6S 128GB in Rose Gold. The demand is not as great this year as last. Only so many reservations can be handled per hour no matter how many iPhones a store has.
Dude I woke up twice last night and still saw the rose gold + available! Last year the 6 plus sold out within minutes! Even the iPhone 6 date slipped to 7-10 business days! As of now all phone 6s "except the rose gold" are currently available for 9/25 so yeah the demand is low this year but the Plus is still the winner this year.

I ordered at 1130 est this morning 6s plus vzw 64gb and got 2-3 weeks for delivery

I hope your right. My att order that I placed at 2:07AM CST for my Space Grey 6S+ 128Gig initially said 9/25 but when I woke up again and checked it said delivery 10/16-10/23

I hope it changes again and I get it on 9/25

I think perhaps all the "not as much interest" crowd are forgetting that the initial manufacturing hiccups with a redesign have been largely addressed, and they've been making these for at least a month, with two weeks lead time between pre-sale and launch. I think most likely they are just more prepared with stock on-hand as opposed to it being unpopular. I think a lot of 5S buyers were waiting for the 6S, not to mention the Apple Upgrade plan will likely attract a lot of interest as well.

Yeah, because nobody offers black phones.. Nokia, Samsung, LG, Google, OnePlus, Blackberry... yeah, so unique.

I just think it's funny how on here people talk trash about a color they don't like. Apple used to give 1 color choice, people whined. So they offered 2... people still whined. So now they offer 4 colors in 2 different sizes, that's 8x the choice of iPhone 1, and people still complain.
Relax lol who's trash talking? And um yeah the black slate iPhone 5 was pretty damn popular I as well as a slew of other forum members miss it much. If it wasn't for it scratching so easy they would have kept it going

You are lucky! For me I had to wait immediately for a month last year for my 6 Plus. Remember you got two weeks before you get that phone in your hand. So you might only have to wait a week after release at the latest. Not to bad. Wish me luck next year when I get my 7! It will be a doozy next year to get one!

The Plus is a clear winner this year again my friend! Congrats on your plus! I have to wait till next year for the 7. If that phone comes in a plus version, I'm getting that one lol!

Similar story here. I placed my order around 2:30. Initially was 09/25 delivery but now delivery date 10/23-10/30. Were you a grandfathered unlimited data plan or ATT NEXT customer. Thanks

You guys should most likely get your phones on the delivery date. The plus seems to be in high demand again this year.

It's so funny, if all the phones were sold out people would be saying that Apple intentionally constrained supply to give the impression of high demand. Yet if the phones aren't sold out then that means it's low sales due to weak demand.

So DAMN TRUE!!!!

Never satisfied...

It's unclear if it's fewer sales or better stock. I wouldn't be surprised if the sales were taking a hit, though, at least in the USA. I think this is the first year where no major American carrier is offering any discount on the iPhones with a two-year contract. Those discounts used to knock off around $400-500 of the phone's cost, which is pretty substantial. My family used to upgrade on the contract cycle regularly, but now that we'll need to pay full price, we'll probably upgrade every three to four years instead. I'd imagine a lot of other people and families are finding themselves in the same situation.
Its better stock, macrumors reported that apple ordered 85-90 million iPhones from foxconn and you do know that carrier subsidies are bs, right? And the carriers are still offering 2yr contracts and there are upgrade programs, too.

I don't get why more people don't go into their respective carrier stores. Went into T-Mobile store mid day today to switch from AT&T and pre-order the new phones, the store was pretty much empty. 2x iPhone 6s+ 64GB gold, he said we'll get them release day because of some first day pre-order guarantee. He even said it wouldn't be surprising if they showed up at our door before official release day depending on how soon they start shipping out and how long shipping takes.

Even last year our local AT&T store had limited stock on release day and a couple days after.

Few people are buying this phone if there's still stock available. Demand just isn't there this year.

It took two days for the 5s to sell out, which was 23 hours longer than it took the 5 to sell out. Yet the 5s was far more popular than the 5. Fact is, we don't know how it's selling.

Finally time to retire my 4. Will wait a while until all the inevitable kinks are worked out.

Just tried to upgrade my 6 64 gig to a 128 gig 6s rose gold and the Jump Upgrade program over the phone like the T-Mobile website says to do and the rep told me they couldn't start the Jump program over the phone and I have to go to a store WTF? And now this article is telling me the Rose Gold is backed up already :( The rep said he started work at 2am for this preorder launch and 10,000 people were in the cue from the start. Another big hit! Too bad T-Mobile didn't have their **** together on the whole Jump program deal on the first day. It saves me money per month so it's worth doing. And my current phone trade-in value clears out what I still owe on it. Guess I have to find a T-Mobile store... but maybe not today.

1. There is no factual basis for this. To the contrary, S models have generally had better availability since they share components with model already production.

2. From a hardware standpoint it is as large as upgrade as going from a 5 to a 6. Taking the time to educate yourself will help you a great deal when making decisions.

3. There is a 2-year option

He pulled everything he said straight out of his butt. Ultimately the 6s might not sell as well as the 6 (who knows) but not for any of the reasons he indicated.
