Did anyone happen to go through the Apple Upgrade Plan?
If so, do you have to buy the Apple Care+ or can you leave that off?

I just picked Verizon (my carrier) and clicked the full retail option and then selected in store pickup. So I have an appointment on the 25th and it has been reserved for me in store. I didn't see an apple financing option on the page, so I assume I'll just tell them that's what I want when I arrive.

I actually forgot about the pre-order (can take or leave this generation honestly) until more than an hour into its launch. Alas, went right into the app and reserved a 64gb 6s for pickup on the 25th.

I'd really like to try Apple's new financing plan but I'm worried they'll run it like a credit card program which, thanks to my young college student age and lack of history, will undoubtedly reject me...

Of course rose gold was first to slip. (But I got mine ordered) Overall I think Apple had more ready to go compared to last year. Even 2 hours later you can still get grey 128GB on release day. Last year high end models all went first.

I made the mistake of being drunk when I ordered mine ... so I am not entirely sure how many I just ordered.

I will find out tomorrow when I sober up lol
So that's where all the rose golds went...

I feel sorry for myself next year when I go for the iPhone 7. I'm still licking my wounds for getting the 6 plus last year. Everybody wanted a plus! This year I took a break and decided against the 6s in favor for the IPad pro. I like the non "S" versions but I hate the high demand for them.

ironic, my thinking and strategy was the exact same

Not necessarily. I purchased my rMBP when I was in college. I financed it when they did 0% interest with barcalays and was approved for up to $2,000. And iPhone is typically half of that, so I wouldn't worry too much.

So DAMN TRUE!!!!

Never satisfied...
So very true... and so very wrong. Apple and their suppliers decided months ago (google it) to have the largest pre-order inventory available ever. If orders are slipping to later dates, it is huge demand and a newer offering (Rose Gold).

Planned on waiting for the 7, but my 6 was stolen. So had to get a 6s. Ordered 64 GB Rose Gold T-Mobile. Seriously doubting my decision on Rose Gold after all these comments. But, I wanted something that wouldn't remind me of my 6 as much.

The carrier plans (NEXT, Jump, etc.) have the same credit requirements (since it's a legitimate lease like a car), but all they care about is your credit score. Being a young college student isn't a very good excuse either, it's not hard to get a college card and use/pay it off every month to build credit. I'm 21 (almost 22) and will be graduating this year, even with some student loans my credit score is just under 800. Unless you've been irresponsible and your credit is total crap I can't imagine they'll reject you though.

Wow. Quite a few hours later you can still pre-order a 6s for delivery on 25th. Either they have an enormous amount of stock, or demand just isn't quite there this year.

Looks like I'll wait until iPhone 7 Plus I can't upgrade until April 2016 and my 2 year contract with AT&T isn't up until Sept 24 2016. Look like I'l give up AT&T then. I'm still grandfathered in on AT&T's unlimited plan from the first iPhone. But the most I have used has been 1.6 GB in the last year. I'll have to spend over $1,000 to upgrade now or wait until demand dies down I can buy on in store and try Apple's upgrade plan. The get a non contract plan from a new carrier. I'm more interested in the iPad Pro. Since I use my iPad Air more than my iPhone 6 Plus.

Oh lol, the "hey look at my BRAND NEW iPhone!"-guys strike again. gold is soooo 2013/2014, rose gold is 2015 baby!

Would have been one of them though (;)) if the rose gold would be more like copper :( Was disappointed it's so pink/salmon.. :(

Yes. It definitely does seem to represent 'Rose Gold' as a colour. It's just a pink aluminium, it seems. Rose Gold is not that pink. I was looking forward to this colour, but steered clear of it because I just don't think I could pull it off. It's quite clearly a pink phone.

Also bummed it didn't come with a black front, then there would have been 2 black options and 2 gold options. Seems odd to me that they added another white option, especially when the black/gold option had been rumoured and mocked up. One day, I hope.

Grabbed a iPhone 6s - Silver - 16GB on T-Mobile's website about an hour ago or so... the order details still being processed. Will check later to see if it gives me an actual estimated ship date. It showed ships by 9/25 when I was ordering it... will see. Upgrading one of our lines from a 5s, so this will be a nice bump.

Yeah, 6s models are not hard to come by except for rose gold. I'm guessing it's a combination of an enormous amount of stock and demand that's slightly less than last year. Last year was predictably huge though with the introduction of big iPhones.

We will get there before you know it! You know the crazy pre ordering and lines at the Apple Store that actually starts from the street to the actual store itself! Just to be told sorry folks! We only have the regular iPhone 7 in 128 gig sprint version. Then I ask"Do you guys have any iPhone 7 pluses left for T-Mobile ? And they all laugh at me! Yeah I can't wait!lol!

You should take a look at T-Mobile, they'll pay up to $650 per line to payoff whatever you owe if you switch. We were in the same position with AT&T having just started the 18 month Next program with the new iPhones last year. We made the mistake though of getting 16GB versions so we were looking to upgrade to the 6s but the payoff was still $200 something bucks on the old phones. Went over to T-Mobile store and pre-ordered the new phones, when the new phones get here they'll port the numbers over from AT&T at which point AT&T will generate a final bill with a payoff amount. We submit the bill to T-Mobile and they'll pay it. On top of that, because T-Mobile pays the full payoff of the phones, we get to turn around and trade in our old phones to T-Mobile for credit.

In terms of data, T-Mobile is running a deal for 10GB per line for 2 lines at $100 a month, but remember with T-Mobile you get unlimited data and you're only paying for high speed. Once you go over they just slow you down.

All said and done will be paying about the same per month on T-Mobile (maybe slightly more) but will be getting 10GB per line (compared 1 GB shared on AT&T) and larger capacity phones. Plus we can upgrade every year as opposed to every 18 months. Way better deal then AT&T.

Rose gold was like 5 years ago. I remember everyone was rocking rose gold watches... then it got played out fast.

Interesting...just reserved mine for launch day to do the upgrade program (financing option) and it is still available on launch day for the silver 128GB 6s.

I love all the comments from folk stating, as if they actually know more than anyone else here, that 'demand just isn't there' for the iPhone 6S. Funny how the internet turns everyone into experts at everything.

Dude if girls can get space grey with no discrimination why can't us guys get the rose gold phone?

The rose gold is my favorite color of the bunch.

Enormous stock. There are articles discussing it from a few months ago.

Considering the issues Apple had last year and that this is a non-redesign year you'd think Apple would've made sure there is ample supply. And since none of us know what the initial supply is it's impossible to speculate on demand. And who knows, maybe after what happened with Watch people decided to forgo pre-ordering.

Just ordered 6s grey 128 on Apple Canada
Have a time to pick up on the 25th at the Eaton Centre store
