iPhone Pre-Order Shipping Estimates Begin Slipping to 2-3 Weeks, Led by Rose Gold iPhone 6s Plus

Well even though my ATT 6s+ space grey 64gb shows Oct 16 - 23 it does say 'Preparing to Ship'! Lets hope - I'm really sick of my LG G3.

There was a promo code sale for Spigen cases yesterday on Amazon - got 3 6S+ cases for $7. They were sold by Spigen. I hope they have a sale again soon.
 
Apple didn't charge my card until it was ready to ship last year, so I'm thinking I will get mine on launch day despite my Oct16-23 date right now with AT&T. Going to be positive.

Same here card was charged as well. We have 11 days until launch day. I am thinking I will get my 6S+ on launch day too

I ordered through an AT&T rep and my card was charged right away. I did just call to double check everything was good and the rep said that people ordering today are getting october ship dates, but if you ordered early (like most if not all of us did) we should be fine.

Hey Blik. Good to see you over here too, bro. I agree. You'll most likely get it.

What people have to remember is that Carriers (ATT, Verizon, Spring, TMobile) unlike Apple don't acutally have ANY STOCK right now, ANYWHERE. They haven't received their shipments from Apple or direct from China yet. So what they're reporting to us, in shipment weeks, is an 'estimate' of the stock they ordered from Apple based on trends. So it they estimated 1,500,000 units then starting with unit 1,500,001 - they will report to your account Est.Ship Date Oct... blah, blah,blah.. BUT - - -- since pre-order night they're reported the REAL numbers to Apple and now Apple will be checking their supply lines and eventually report back somewhere later in this process.

There was a website - one of these threads talked about last year where we could go watch the supply being delivered from China to various UPS hubs around the world. I'm not sure that necessarily told us HOW many phones were on each shipment - but something in the back of mind thought that was important from last year.

All that to say.. I know knew of '1' guy I followed on these threads last year - that had the early October week dates this early on and DIDN'T get his phone on launch day. And THAT guy got it on Monday. NOW.. if you start to see a ship date last week of Oct into early NOVEMBER.. THEN you are ACTUALLY screwed. Those people did NOT get theirs on launch day.

The website was flightaware.com and they were tracking the UPS shipments out of China. It was such nerdy fun to watch that day by day.

Well I have the iPad Mini but I rarely used it for reading. Now I have the iPad Mini wall mounted as my Sonos/Smart Home controller that gets more use.

So I figured getting the bigger screen iPhone would allow me to view web pages and read a lot easier as my one device.

It will show your shiny new iPhone 6S/6S Plus with a serial. It's an indication that your device is about to ship.
It's one of the many sites people used to divine whether their phone had taken flight. That one, UPS, FedEx, AT&T, Apple -- those will be mercilessly hammered with hits as people try to find out when their phone is coming.

OMG THIS IS THE BEST PART!! I should have ordered Friday. I almost wouldn't have cared when it came but would have haunted these forums looking for any little tidbit of information...

I ordered 1 6+s and a 6s. I have to say this was hands down the easiest Apple iPhone presale transaction I have EVER experienced. This deserves a story in itself.

While the process is not over -- I selected in store pick up -- so far it's been a breeze..

Seriously -- maybe finally finally they've got the supply chain nightmare and limited stock drama behind them -- as far as this release is concerned...

In any case -- I'm extremely satisfied and saw HUGE improvements in the app purchase operation all around...

Cue everyone saying apple is doomed, it won't sell as much as the iPhone 6 did! Shock horror, no they knew they could sell more as this is the second round of upgrades for the larger screen size. They made more for the release knowing figures for the first. Most people are on 2year contracts, keeping the design the same is a way of having stability in sales and already being tooled up from the previous year, there is also no ramp up in production like last year as very little has changed tweaks and new tech can be chucked in without too much hassle.

The sales of the 6s will be as epic as the 6 was. I'm not biased I like apple but i love other makers too, it's fascinating how these companies work and amazing to see the weird reactions on here.

Does anybody have an idea, i pre ordered 2 phones from apple.com - when approximately are they going to charge money ? Or on what status - preparing for shipment ? Thanks
