VZW has to legally.

Verizon was legally not suppose to throttle LTE for those with unlimited data, but they announced that they will. In reality, none of those agreements were legally binding. They are worded so vaguely that Verizon can change it, if they wanted to.

Getting the 128 GB iPhone plus in gold. I'm in Greece on vacation and I leave Sept 13 for the states. I have to leave my house at 10:30 AM for airport and preorders start 10am Greek time....hoping I'll somehow get through the preorders in that first 30 minutes or I'm screwed, cos I've never gone to the store to buy a phone on launch day. Only good news is I live in WI, and it doesn't get as crazy there as it would in the major cities.

4.7" 64GB Space Grey. Will probably preorder unlocked direct from Apple (Australia). Looks like our carriers haven't got their plans up yet.

Would be interesting to see stats on what percentage of preorders are for the 4.7" vs 5.5". Just skimming this thread alone, looks like the 5.5" is far more popular than I would have anticipated.

Edit: Ah, just noticed this poll.

def get his SS#, birth date, just to be on safe side, does the bill go to him or to you? just make sure if you order from apple.com for example that your credit card + billing address and sprint address are the same, if may not be necessary for sprint but i am not sure, but it happens so fast that if you don't have it all set you won't get first batch of iPhones....

i am so not a nerd or perhaps in denial but i promise it is so fun to get in first batch and find your phone traveling on planes, trains + automobiles!

yes, i think that is new this year

haha yes, also my iphone 4s is cracked so badly that only half the screen works, so i am real desperate to be able to have a shiny new functioning phone asap! thanks :)

I noticed on Verizon's site for the iphone 6: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/device/smartphone/iphone

$32.49/month for 24 months;
0% APR $649.99 on VERIZON EDGE

I am hoping the'll still be a spot to order outright.

ALSO update your Credit Cards Billing address to your work's address, if your shipping to your work cause if you use the address of your home on your credit card they wont ship to your work. I heard some people got screwed over last yea with orders.

iPhone 6, 4.7" 16gb for me att. Question is will they let us preorder if we are doing the next program? Anyone know would be a big help.

----------

Does Verizon allow the phone to be charged to the account? I could have sworn when the 4S came out that they didn't allow that. I was thinking this because what I'd do then is preorder and have it charged to my account, trade my phone in to them and apply the gc to the account. I went to the store and they told me they'd give me $225 for it, so I'd maybe get the 6+ 128gb and after taxes it'd be around $300

If I had to guess no because of the edge program. You could do the edge and just pay it off. But if you are trying to keep unlimited data that's a different story and you might be out of luck on that front. If am wrong please some one correct me.

If you want to pre-order but also trade in your last phone for (5s, 64, gold), I'm guessing I'd have to arrange for an in-store pick up. Do you note this on your pre-order or just come in with your old phone when you do your pick up?

Can someone clarify this scenario for me?

AT&T. Eligle for an upgrade. I want to pay full price for an unlocked phone. Can I pre-order on the 12th? Or do I have to buy in store to get the unlocked version?

Thank you.

I'm sure this has been asked, so I don't want to start a new thread.

I typically upgrade my iPhone every year, meaning I get a "discounted" upgrade, but not a full upgrade, on AT&T. Basically, the $199 on-contract price goes up to $399.

Usually happens at the 1year mark. But the iPhone 5S came out on September 20th. I'm currently not upgrade eligible for the 6/any phone, according the website, outside of NEXT.

Surely there's a way to get around this? We're talking days... hours almost.

ahhh makes sense. Damn you're so lucky. Nothing even remotely comparable offered now.

My significant other upgraded to 5S last week as they offered her a retention deal and waved off the phone fees. She's paying $80 a month for 500MB...ouch. Plans here in Ontario are really as crap as they get. U.S has much better plans.

Can I use a Apple Gift Card to pre order my iPhone in order to avoid what happened to me last time fraud protection from my cc backordered my order to the back of the line

I work for a decent size bank in their fraud department and I would advise people to call their respective credit card company and let them know about the purchase just to be safe, the combinations of weird time (12am-3am) to be placing a, the amount for some $800-$1,000+, and overall use cc companies see from apple.com by fraudsters might be enough for a companies fraud protection system to place a hold on their card and not allow the purchase until they speak with the customer. Just a heads up!!!

I'd trade a vacation in Greece for a launch-day iPhone any day.

Me; 4.7 Iphone 6, 6 plus would be too much for me at the gym plus i'm going with the 128GB. I want everything on my phone lol

If we a current customer of a carrier (ATT, Verizon) do we have to purchase from that carrier, or can we purchase from apple store?

I have yet to buy an iPhone from ATT. All 3 have been through Apple. The first, the 3G, at the apple store months after release.

Apple only shipped to your carrier billing address during past preorders.

You can actually call apple right after you pre-order your iPhone or later that same day and change the shipping address.

my carrier billing address is my parents' address and I live in a different city, all I had to do was call and change the address and that's it. I have done this twice, when I pre-ordered my iPhone 5 and also with the iPhone 5s.

I think I'm going to get my phone from Apple. I'll be on vacation that week and I was worried nobody was gonna be home to receive my new phone so I called apple and asked if I could pre-order on friday and do an in store pick up. They said I could and they would guarantee a phone for me that day. I'm gonna call again just to verify this info once more because I think it's crazy they told me I can do that since people wait in line for weeks!

I'm planning on getting the iPhone 6 4.7" 16gb. I don't really need much storage, right now, I have 4gb left on my 16 gb iPhone 5s! Music used to take up all my storage, but Thanks to Spotify, not anymore.

From past experiences, what are the odds of getting the first batch of deliveries(that gets there on 19th) if I am going to wake up at 2:30AM and hopefully be fast enough to order?
Does it show the delivery date BEFORE you get to pay, like the phone being "reserved" untill you get to pay, or you have to be quick enough typing the adress details and stuff so you don'e get your delivery date delayed?
I am asking this because if I don't get it on 19th I might be paying for it and never get it, since I'm leaving the city I'm in on 24th and leaving US for good on 30th.

I want to open a new Verizon account for the 6 Plus, and get the 2GB single line plan for $60 a month. Is that plan possible to get when ordering through Apple or will I have to order through Verizon?

Also, will I be able to even open a new account with them if I just closed an account with them 6 weeks ago?

Yeah, that's why I always end up buying the full unlocked price phone. Gives me at least some leverage to negotiate since the fee to terminate the contract is basically nothing.
