iPhone SE 4 to Have Notch Instead of Dynamic Island

Having a Dynamic Island would make it definitely better than the 15 ! Having a notch is not bad since it’s already much better the iPhone SE 3 !
The upcoming iPhone SE 4 will feature a notch instead of the Dynamic Island, respected display analyst Ross Young said today. The device will have a "notch like the iPhone 14," according to Young, which contradicts a recent leak that depicted a Dynamic Island.
Earlier this month, leaker Evan Blass shared images said to feature the iPhone SE 4's design, but those images featured an iPhone with a Dynamic Island rather than the notch that had been previously rumored for new low-cost iPhone. A sketchy leak from February 2024 also suggested that the iPhone SE 4 would get the Dynamic Island, but most other information has suggested that Apple will go with the notch design.
Multiple rumors have indicated that the iPhone SE 4 is modeled after the iPhone 14, and will therefore have an iPhone 14-style design. The iPhone 14 had a notch and not a Dynamic Island, so the notch makes more sense if Apple is using an iPhone 14 body for the iPhone SE 4.
With the launch of the iPhone SE 4, Apple will sunset Touch ID in the iPhone lineup, and all iPhones will have Face ID. The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to feature a 6.1-inch display, a single-lens rear camera, 8GB RAM, and an A17 Pro chip capable of supporting Apple Intelligence.
Current rumors suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will be introduced in the spring, likely in April.

I'm interested in spec horsepower over notch/island. The SE line is rooted in up to date specs married to an older physical design. Bring it on!

...with notch & island stickers to add to all of our other screens! My TV just doesn't look "iconic" without a bite of the screen missing... and it could easily use 4+ such bites.
Aside from missing all the laser lightshow junk that iphones do to map your face, I think the "hole punch" design android phones often use is great lol. My scamsung fold does that and even attempts to hide the camera hole by having a kinda pixelated overlay.
But beyond that, it's just a small black dot. Way better than the giant horse pill shape lol. Or the super bad haircut shape.
But it's just a phone. I don't stare at my phone all day. You know what would piss me off? If I had to use my macbook air all day. That thing has a GIGANTIC NOTCH. And there's nothing there but the webcam!
Still rather have a slim, full-width top bezel so the status bar could be more functional

iPhone SE is rumored to have 8GB RAM and support for Apple Intelligence. I don't care for the latter, but the former is much better than the 6GB of the iPhone 14.
Also, having a newer A series chip from iPhone 16 means longer life as far as support for new versions of iOS and iOS updates goes.
These things might mean more to some people than having one extra camera.

This is like the iPhone 17 Slim. One single non-credible rumor suggested it would sit above the Pro Max. Then somehow, a bunch of people took it as fact even though it made zero sense.

The Dynamic Island feels like it's always trying to grab your attention by changing shape and size. The notch sort of just blends in and that can be a perk honestly. There are often times the DI obscures things that the notch doesn't.
Doesn’t have to be “animated.” I have the weather on one side of my Dynamic Island, and the date on the other side. It’s a great setup.
100% I am considering this as a replacement for my 13 Mini. Unless, it's yet another massive phone then I'll be replacing my battery and enrolling my iPhone 13 Mini in Bryan Johnson's "Dont Die" bootcamp...
What better features?
1. Less RAM
2. Slower chip
3. Less software updates
Is the Dynamic Island that big of a seller? Is an ultrawide camera nobody uses worth the trade offs? If you need a telephoto lens, why the heck are you looking at the SE to begin with?
It’s a horse race between the Action button, Camera Control, and Dynamic Island for me.

I’m confused how that screen protector is “designed for a notch”?
