I’m confused how that screen protector is “designed for a notch”?
Yeah - it's not
Just like my 13 Mini screen protectors -- only shape cutout is for the earhole
I’m confused how that screen protector is “designed for a notch”?
Not necessarily! That could be a cutout around the speaker. I'm looking at my screen protector on my 16 Pro Max right now, it has a similar cutout at the top.Alleged screen protectors for the iPhone SE 4 also appear to have a design for a notch rather than the Dynamic Island.
From a visual design standpoint you are 100% wrong. The curvature of the sides of the notch would look atrocious as it expanded to show what the Dynamic Island shows. No way. Also considering the fact that the notch extends to the top…you’d either have the prompt connected to the top (ugly and bizarre) or you have the top portion of the notch sticking out from the top of the prompt. NO WAY.There’s no reason why the software can’t mimic the Dynamic Island gimmicks with the notch. Marketing bs.
I call it "Dynamic Notchland."It’s a Dynamic Notch!
In reality is no different than calling a mole a “beauty mark”.
I have never not once cared about the notch and I still have a 13P. However, I would like Dynamic Island now that it exists. It’s a Dynamic Notch!

The dynamic island is the most overrated thing about any iPhone, ever. Yes it looks cooler and more high tech than the notch, but it's not a feature.
I think what the iPhone SE absolutely needs is:
1) Better battery life
2) A chip that supports Apple Intelligence
3) MagSafe
4) USB-C
Commonly known as ‘bezel’ until 2017.Can they give it an edgier name than the Notch? iNotch Pro? The Gap? The Void?

There is one very important reason. There’s no reason why the software can’t mimic the Dynamic Island gimmicks with the notch. Marketing bs.
If they keep the recipe simple and include USB-C, and around $400 (preferably less) I will be a happy individual.
Hope they leave the Sim Card slot available, here in the US, and not just overseas. There are still people who prefer the freedom to sim swap without notifying/going through the carrier.

And it surely will be (A17 or A18)2) A chip that supports Apple Intelligence
That could be a cost-cut decision. I’m not expecting MagSafe on the SE.3) MagSafe
That’s for sure, because of EU anyway.4) USB-C
Could be a cost-saving decision. When did the rumors switch from an A18 to an A17 Pro, and why?
iPhone 15 will be discontinued in a few months anyway.Kind of a no-duh moment.
Besides the random render showing an island, every credible rumor has said it'll use the iPhone 14 display. Why would Apple want SE4 to cannibalize iPhone 15?
This is like the iPhone 17 Slim. One single non-credible rumor suggested it would sit above the Pro Max. Then somehow, a bunch of people took it as fact even though it made zero sense.
That could be a cost-cut decision. I’m not expecting MagSafe on the SE.
Which is more profitable for Apple? MagSafe or USBC?It seems like an odd thing to drop because Apple makes money on the MagSafe cables / accessories / MFi licensing.
But there’s no MagSafe on the current SE, so who knows!

I'm an SE2020 user; if I upgrade soon, it'll be to an SE4, and the first thing I will do is switch Apple Intelligence off. Don't care about notch / lack of notch / Dynamic Island / lack of Dynamic Island...I’m pretty sure most SE users couldn’t care less about Apple Intelligence and would happily take the Dynamic Island over it. It’s genuinely very useful to keep an eye on things for any sort of multitasking.
