[doublepost=1457576483][/doublepost]Apple iCloud is down here in Dallas, TX, area, March 9, 2016, evening.
We're just two weeks away from the rumored launch date of the 4-inch "iPhone SE," but due to mixed rumors and a lack of part leaks, we still don't know exactly what the device will look like. Rumors suggest an iPhone 5s-style body with an iPhone 6-style curved glass front panel, two concepts that are difficult to merge.
Design drawings and early case leaks out of China haven't been helpful thus far, also offering up conflicting information on the final design, but renderings from an established, well-known case manufacturer may help shed some light on what we can expect.
Spigen is an accessory company that often has some of the first cases available for new iOS devices, and the iPhone SE is no exception. The company is working on cases for the 4-inch iPhone, and case renderings obtained by MacRumors suggest Spigen expects a design that's nearly indistinguishable from the iPhone 5s.

The device continues to have the same general shape as the iPhone 5s, with round volume buttons, a power button located at the top of the device, and a pill-shaped flash. Design drawings have suggested the iPhone SE could perhaps have a camera that protrudes slightly, something that can't be determined from the Spigen renderings.
Spigen's cases wrap around the front of the screen, making it unclear how the display of the iPhone SE differs from the display of the iPhone 5s. The edges of the iPhone SE are also not visible, so any slight differences in curvature would be difficult to determine from the rendering.
MacRumors has heard from multiple well-known case manufacturers that the iPhone SE will be the same size as the iPhone 5s, several of whom have been confident in that assessment, but how that ultimately meshes with rumors of an iPhone 6-style display remains to be seen.

Early cases are often accurate and serve as a solid indicator of what an upcoming iOS device might look like, but on occasion, case makers get design details wrong. As mentioned above, we have seen iPhone SE cases with distinctly different styles, so there is some disagreement on design between accessory makers.
Spigen's position as a well-known case manufacturer with a lot to lose may mean the company has put more resources into sussing out the look of the iPhone SE, but given all of the conflicting information, the design of the device may remain in question until it debuts on March 21.

My 5C is on it's last legs, and degrading as the days to this rumoured Apple event count down. Non-Apple replacement screen is a bit flaky and even popping out on the top edge, and the battery barely lasts half a day now. And my contract is pretty much up too. Although I've never been shy of buying first generation models. Never had any issues arising from that either.
Having a nearly identical design to the 5s would explain the lack of part leaks. I also wonder what is the likelihood of there being TWO 4 inch phone released, a budget one to replace the 5c/5s and a 6S Mini on par with the 6s/Plus.
I also seriously doubt anyone in the US will be able to buy a discontinued 5s for half price as has been rumored. I can't see Apple canabalizing sales of a new 4 inch phone right out of the gate. I bet they will concentrate those sales in India.
Because some of us don't care whether others know what phone we use.Psshh..why would anybody want their brand spanking new iPhone SE be wrapped up in a case and mistaken for a regular 5 or 5S.
"
I wouldn't wanna go back to a thick phone. the protruding camera is minor inconvenience.... not something that make people buy a thicker device.
Unless for some reason they like thick phones.... some still do.
I'm usually pretty gentle on my phones, and hand them on in great condition to deserving, less affluent friends when i'm done with them. But my poor 5C has had a harder life. I dropped it when I was drunk, so broke the screen (note to self: don't take photos of the dog when you're drunk, no matter how cute he's looking). My first broken screen in 4 iPhones, and I cheap-assed it and didn't get a genuine Apple replacement, which naturally isn't quite as good. And the battery is being pummelled more than it used to be because I'm using Apple music and streaming most of my music now, which uses more power than playing saved music files. As if that wasn't enough, I've been using Grindr and Scruff a lot more over last few months. So all of that has been a bit much for the poor little thing, it's barely hanging on!What on earth you people doing to your phones, still got 3GS going strong after a battery change 18 months ago! Only 1 year ago got swapped out for a newer phone, now used as an Ipod.
Don't think that's right. All leaks are ..A9, 12mp, bigger battery, Apple Pay/NFC, Touch ID. That's current flagship and NOT a budget phone.
never have i purchased a brand new phone "when it's released" nor have i preordered any device.
i am about to do both now as my current 5C is giving me nightmares. can't wait for the purported 5SE, it ticks all the boxes that i care for!
4s: 140 gm, 9.3 mm -> 5s: 112 gm, 7.6 mm -> 6s: 143 gm, 7.1 mm!
That is just 0.5 mm thicker!!
The "thicker" 5s is lighter than the 6s. All (?almost) the iPhone buyers use a case, for various reasons, that case defeats all purpose of the strife for a thinner device buy the Apple engineers.
If the iPhone 7/7s goes thicker by the 0.5 mm that the 6 lost to 5, and gives me a better battery and sense of grip, I will take the thicker iPhone!
Also, the battery cannot be too thick these days - the smarter phone operates hotter, the battery itself generates more heat, so a thicker battery will prevent heat dissipation! This heat will affect the working parts of the device, reducing the performance and life of the iPhone.
If they reduce the bezel (like Samsung) and give a bigger screen, say 4.3 to 4.5 inches, on the iPhone 5s platform, THAT is perfect for me! I can reach the ends of the screen across the iPhone 6s, but I find carrying it on my person tough; the iPhone 6s is too big to fit in any pocket easily! Will not even touch the 6plus, unless it is a bedside only device!
Nearly visually identical to the 5s but with current specs?
I'm OK with that.

If this phone is getting announced on March 21st where are the invites?? It's less then 2 weeks away and not mention from Apple?
