For those that bought directly from Apple store. Did you guys get shipping notification? I haven't received anything yet and my status is still 'Preparing for Shipment.' Wondering if it is due to my 1st card being declined, but then I changed it to a working card. Has this happened to anyone else?

Still says 'delivery by 3/31 next day shipping' though.
No shipping notifications for my units, both were ordered from Apple.com within minutes of the order window opening. Both now have shown up on my support profile with serial numbers and I also see the charges on my credit card. That's a key step in the "Preparing for Shipment". You can't get to this step without being charged. You might want to see if you have any pending charges on your card.;)

Dave

Also, will someone explain the rationale behind serial numbers already showing up on my support profile?

What if, say, I gift it to someone else and not activate it with my own iTunes/apple account? I am curious just for academic reasons.

My status is preparing for shipment too, delivery by 3-31. CC was charged on Monday and I received the AppleCare email today. My Apple profile does list the SE with serial number. Still waiting for the delivery status email.

Have you checked your credit card to see if the charge has been posted?

Yep. I do have a pending charge on my account. Didn't go all the way through yet though. I guess once it's shipped it will show up as fully charged. Good thing that I'm not the only one. Maybe tomorrow we'll get notification since it's essentially 'next day shipping' for us.

Wait I do have a support profile showing the iPhone SE. YAY! Last night it did not.

My shipping estimate just slipped. It has been April 1-5, just changed to April 4-6.... :(

I may have to pay a visit to the Apple Store on Thursday. It's looking like the iPhone SE launch might be similar to the 4th Gen Apple TV, where I pre-ordered but ended up picking it up in-store first because the shipping was delayed.

UPDATE:

It just slipped again to April 5-8.

In my experience (and from what I've seen from others) has been that Apple will be conservative with their estimates. Usually, they will under-promise and over-deliver.

Just a guess here: The serial number is letting you know that there is a specific phone that is being shipped to you. If you give it away, that should be handled the same as if you sold or gave away a used phone. As with other electronics, the serial number identifies the unit for warranty purposes.

I would think activation goes through the carrier, not Apple. But since I bought through my carrier, I really don't know how that works.

Activation is dependent on how you purchase. If you purchased "SIM Free", then there is nothing tied to a carrier.

If you purchased from Apple or a carrier, the activation process is determined by the carrier. So use caution if you plan to sell it or give it away that you are able to assist with activation depending on the carrier if you purchased as an upgrade or with a contract.

For example: If you purchased an iPhone SE from Apple.com and chose AT&T, provided a phone number and you chose to pay Contract Free price. Your iPhone SE will come with an AT&T Nano-SIM and be configured in the AT&T system to the line of your choice. You will be required to complete the AT&T activation process for the initial activation.

I originally posted this in the wrong thread, however it's interesting what it says. I highly doubt it's actually going to be delivered today or even tomorrow seeing as it hasn't really updated my shipping status this whole time. It barely updated an hour ago and then this popped up in the last ten minutes.

I think it's basing the delivery today because the label was made/received on the 28th and Next Day Air is my shipping method.

We'll see...

It's 3:00PM now, just waiting to hear back from where I work to see if anything has showed up.

You can use your current sim to activate the phone. Technically 4G phones are no longer activated all the info is on the sim card

They did the same thing with other iphone launches. Even if it gets to your hub the day before (or two in this case), the carriers are instructed to hold the package until launch day. You will get it 3/31.

All your phones are in TN :) At least the ones that will be delivered Thursday
Ah, no not All. Only some of the US ones that are already at the FedEx hub. Most units that are coming via UPS will pass / hold in Louisville KY at the UPS hub.

UPS just showed my labels as being printed even though they were printed yesterday, since I ordered from Apple.com, they are coming from China. For most of the US, it is already tomorrow in China so most still on schedule for Thursday Delivery.:eek::(

Dave
[doublepost=1459286784][/doublepost]Reminder For US purchasers: As in previous releases. If you want to see if your shipping label has been printed, even if you have not received a tracking number. You can go to FedEx or UPS and do a search by Reference using your 9 digit phone number that you provided on your order.

hmmm, so i might be right... let's see....

I ordered from ATT. Everything says it'll ship tomorrow and arrive thursday. 64gb gold se I've contemplated canceling them and trying my luck at best buy as they are offering a $50 gift card with purchase but I have no idea if they will be in stock on thursday or not.

If you ordered directly from AT&T, in most cases your iPhone SE is in a large pallet that is shipping from China via Alaska or direct to Memphis or Louisville depending on carrier and type of aircraft. Next most AT&T bulk shipments will then stop in the Dallas Metro area at the AT&T distribution hub where they will be split and then shipped individually to the customer. You should still get it Thursday, since it will ship Overnight from Dallas for delivery on time on Thursday.

Your Tracking number will come from AT&T and you should not expect it to be sent to you until tomorrow after 5 PM EDT.

Well UPS finally has my shipping information, however it doesn't tell me where it's at right now, only that it will receive the shipping label soon. Still in the processing phase.
I still have nothing. I'm thinking I'm going to receive it Monday or something. It's just odd to me that on the T-Mobile site my configuration still says ships by 3/30. I got a gold 64 gb.

I feel sorry for the person that buys the 5s 16gb from att for $450. Make no sense why att would price it that way.

I haven't received any updates on my iPad besides my card being charged this morning. I got an update on my SE within a few hours of my card being charged, but it took over a day to update my status on the UPS site. My iPad too says expected to ship by 3/30. I wouldn't worry too much about it until tomorrow night. If you don't receive any updates by then you could contact TMobile. You probably won't get too far as I'm sure your overnight shipping was free as part of their promotion (which is awesome by the way!). If you paid for it then you have some heck to raise.

This is what it's showing:
Not sure if that's my iPad or my SE.

Mine looks very similar however in the numbers that are X'd at the top, mine says iPhone SE and then the tracking number.

At the bottom of your picture is where mine said it would be delivered today but my progress bar looks just like yours. Still being "processed".

Is there a weight associated with it? The iPhone SE shipping weight is about .90lbs and the iPad Pro is about 2.00lbs. It should say towards the bottom of your tracker where your tracking number and reference numbers are.

Not seeing a weight anywhere I think you need the full tracking number for that. Your SE shows with your phone number too? The shipping is next day air saver. I'm not sure if Apple uses that and I ordered the iPad through them. It also seems like no one has been able to track their iPad by reference yet so that gives me hope that this is the phone. I'm confident I'll receive the iPad on Thursday because that was ordered through Apple, the phone is a different story because it's my first time ordering from T-Mobile.

damn, it look like they moved my few days further, probably because they didn't make enough gold versions or are selling well
