I'm going to wait and see what the 7/7+ brings to the table and if the headphone jack is gone then I'll probably get the SE (unless they come up with some convenient connection that doesn't involve having to buy new cables or switch cables for people who still have stereo jacks) in September/October time or just run my 5S into the ground like I did with my 4 and then see what's on the market at that point

Like the screen size, like the battery estimates, REALLY like the fact that the headphone port is still there.

I'll wait till fall to upgrade, but unless the 7 beats the SE in ALL these categories, I think this is my new phone.
The 7 will definitely beat the SE in all categories, it will just not come in a 4-inch form factor

iPhone SE sounds like a darkhorse now. Impressive data driven stuff by Apple to push it out.

Woot! I can't wait to get my Rose Gold 5SE! Oh, how I miss the 4-inch iPhone and that amazing design!

Whooo, that color is just... unique. More power to you if you love it and are rocking it. I'd like to see Apple delve into a blue shade or a true black again, or anything new to stop using the rose color on all of their promotional materials.
I'd like to see a true black again too. The watch has Space Black. It may not be a true deep black, but I'd sure as hell take that over the Space Gray :(

yea it is the lowest apple starting point for an iphone because from 2016 all the new apple ios device are starting from 32gb
So iPhone SE with 16gb is the new iPhone with 8 gb

There was a time when I believed smartphones got bigger so they could pack more battery life, but at least with A-proccesors energy efficiency drastically improved, and the SE proves this since it's the same form factor with 5/5s.
If Apple weren't so obsessed with thin, we'de probably see iPhones with amazing battery life, but unfortunately it seems Jony Doesn't feel the same.

I think they miss out on the opportunity to not update the physical design of the phone. I personally think the iPhone 5-design is nice and all, but tactically I think they will have people think and feel that it is old. Which it is. Remember when they killed the mp3-market by having a well differentiated and often updated physical design of the iPods. I am convinced that the same or similar approach with the iPhone would have had similar effect.

The iPhone 5/5s/SE remains the best designed iPhone yet - - why mess with a good thing?

time will tell if this product is so good as I think it is.

I'm hoping they've solved the lens dust issue from the 5 and 5s. A bad seal around the mic port caused particles to fall into the lens area.
do you mean in YOUR unit ?

small screen with all of the efficiency improvements the 6 and 6s have received and slightly larger battery capacity, I'd expect good battery life. Interesting that it beat the Galaxy by so much.

Edit to add: I'm surprised that the 6S also beats the Galaxy by so much in battery life. From the chorus of complaints around here I've inferred that Android (which Galaxy certainly is the major player) has significantly better battery life than iPhone. Maybe there are smaller Android players that do or perhaps the complaints are just universal to modern smart phones but it would appear that at least the two leaders in smart phones have similar battery life (e.g. one is not double the other) and iPhone outlasts the samsung option by a good margin.
the only thing Android's phone have are BIGGER batteries.... That doesn't mean better battery life in many cases.
Apple's SoCs are just better, and Apple isn't following the insane PPI war.

I must admit once I went from the 5S to the 6 Plus and the 6S Plus handling my Mum's iPhone 5c felt like a child's toy in comparison.

Depending on what's announced come September I can see myself going for the SE.

Not so much for the battery life but for the fact it packs a lot for it's punch.

Not so bothered about the lower res front facing camera (I rarely take Selfies!) or lack of 3D Touch (which I use a lot) but for the fact Apple have finally realised you can do more (for less).
