I didn’t say these numbers were correct. You need to the read the OP and my response to it. The OP said the numbers were wildly inaccurate, I replied that we don’t know how accurate these numbers are because we don’t get official numbers from Apple to compare.And my point is you can’t say they are right either. Believe them or not, there is room for debate on the veracity of these numbers, given these companies have no information from Apple to work with and are never, ever verifiable..
I will say however that these companies don’t simply pluck these numbers out of thin air. They have a variety of sources in the supply chain, retailers and yes some manufacturers. I don’t know if Apple submits any numbers to them.
