I didn’t choose 128GB, I was actually just happy it was the default when I got my 15 Pro.

I've always done 256 but that's also because I used to synchronize my entire iTunes library to my phone to play in the car (10,000+ songs weighing in at over 80 GB). This was before I subscribed to Apple Music and when I had a capped data plan.

With music streaming and the 2TB iCloud family plan I really don't need that much internal storage anymore, but it's also nice to be able to pull up older photos and videos and not have to wait for them to download or worry about losing streaming connection in a remote area with poor wireless service.

Been a 512GB for a while. However recently I only had about 20GB free so I pulled the trigger and let iCloud store all my photos ( before it wasn’t ) now I’ve got enough space will probably purchase 256GB moving forward.

256 for me. Maxed out my first few iphones (3GS, 4S, 5S). Stuck with 64GB for my 6S plus, which was plenty. Then ran out of space all the time on a 64GB Xs. Jumped to 256 for my 13 Pro because of the ProRes features enabled at that capacity. Use around 130GB of it, so stuck with 256 on my 16 Pro even though external storage is now the answer for hi data rate recording

This should be combined with how much of the storage is actually used. So:
  • 128 GB
  • 256 GB but not using more than 128 GB
  • 256 GB and using more than 128 GB
  • 512 GB but not using more than 128 GB
  • 512 GB but not using more than 256 GB
  • 512 GB and using more than 256 GB
  • 1 TB but not using more than 128 GB
  • 1 TB but not using more than 256 GB
  • 1 TB but not using more than 512 GB
  • 1 TB and using more than 512 GB
And maybe also:
  • 128 GB but could use 256 GB
  • 128 GB but could use 512 GB
  • 128 GB but could use 1 TB
  • 256 GB but could use 512 GB
  • 256 GB but could use 1 TB
  • 512 GB but could use 1 TB

128GB on my iPhone Xʀ. After using it for 6 years, I accumulated enough photos to barely have enough space, so I went with 256GB on my 16 Plus. 160GB used. I had no music on my Xʀ, now I have the 30GB difference. I transferred some photos and videos and took others, so storage used by the photos app is similar. Long-term, we’ll see. I might have to offload some.

My last few phones including my current one have been 256GB, and I’m currently using 194GB.
Seeing as how that’s more than 3/4 of the capacity, my photo and video library gets bigger with time, and I typically keep my phone for 2-3 years, I will likely upgrade to 512GB for my next one. It should be a good many years before I need more than that.

128 and using about 2/3 of it without offloading anything to the cloud. Looks like I could also save some by deleting a few apps that I haven’t used in 5-10 years.

Might get 256 next time around to be safe, but I’m not having any problem with 128.

256GB. Keeping my 13 mini as long as I can. Don't use iCloud except for Messages & Mail.

256GB on iPhone 14 Pro.

At the moment sitting at about 150GB. At the time I went with 256GB since it was require to get the 4k video recording

Do you have OCD?
Not in the slightest! LOL
But why not have access to my stuff on all my devices? If I'm on my iPad or my laptop and I want to pull up a video I recorded, there it is without needing an internet connection. Keeping it all on icloud too keeps it all synced between devices and easy to transfer onto new ones.

iPhone , iPad, Mini and MBA all on 256GB. I have had a couple of issues on the MBA because I use it for VMs and keep forgetting to delete the ISO files but other than that it’s all good.

I stream mainly these days, and don't take that many photos, but saying that, partly due to the offer made, my current phone is at 512GB

iPhone 7 with 32GB, 12 free.
Wow, I had to retire my 32GB iPhone 6s on iOS 10 for Music because an empty iPhone with system storage alone wouldn’t accommodate the music I want to have on it. Even though the experience is significantly worse, I use an iPhone 6s on iOS 13, whose battery life is abhorrent and it is far slower, just for storage reasons.

I wouldn’t be able to use a 64GB as a main, let alone 32GB. Congratulations on your minimalism!

My main computer is a Mac mini 2012 16GB running Catalina, probably good until the M5 ....or M6. (Tim hates me)
