My status has changed to "HSD Out for Delivery awaiting IOD" any idea what that means?

well everyone who has it on delivery at home can relax - there seems to be a tread saying o2's retail computer system has craashed :D poor git's:rolleyes:

A friend of mine has been in a queue outside o2 since 6.30am. He was number 10 in the queue. So far, as of 9:10am only 2 people have walked out of the shop with iPhones.

It may be sad to some people but to the likes of us lot its sheer joy. We have something we care for a lot heading our way and were excited by it. Other people are the same but with different objects. Yet they don't get classed as sad.

Ok weird rant over, eeeehhhhh I want my phone. Also the bastards have charged me too .

Absolutely! I used to be interested in girls.. but now. ALthough, if there was a girl who had 16gig storage and could play any song on demand I may have to change my mind.

Apparently they are now giving people their iPhones and not bothering with in-store activation!! Looks like the o2 staff have gone native.

How would that work

Theyre not going to let that slide, if you get the more expensive contract for the 8gb they arent going to give the iphone for free and let you walk out are they!

right gotta go to work :( leave the Van watching to my wife

why o why do the delivery vans not have gps trackers onboard that way we could all watch where they are :D

...Just a thought, but have you tried loading up Mac Rumors on your iPhone. If you do it, take some pics and upload them - they'd be cool pics to have on this site and I'm sure the Mods would agree!

i've put these pics up in the 3G Unbox and Setup sticky thread. :D

Upgraders like us waiting at home will be self-activating, so maybe they just thought screw it and missed out the last part of the process. They are still making people go through the contract sign up of course, but after almost 90 mins there are hardly any successful activations at the Southend o2 shop and the queue is now massive.

Massive queue, for an iPhone, in Southend?? Crazy!

when you placed the order did you have to fill in all your contract details etc etc or something like that?

No, just entered account number if I remember rightly. My contract has now been updated in 02 to expire 2010 and I have been charged for the iPhone so I guess in their opinion it doesn't matter whether I activate it or not when it arrives!
