iPhone UK - Sitting at home waiting for delivery

This wait is infuriating. It's been 'Out for Delivery' since 7.52. A DPD van pulled up across the a while ago, thought it was them, turns out it wasn't. Since then a TNT and a City Link van have both driven past. Hurry up DHL.

Like another poster here I jumped up when I saw a white van, all excited, only for it to be to wheelie bin cleaners on their rounds!!
 
I don't know what's going on with my O2 account. I have two account numbers listed under my login. One for my current mobile number (I've been with O2 for the last fours years and I'm out of contract) and one for the iPhone 3G with a new allocated mobile number:confused: It looks like they have processed my order as a new customer not an upgrade:eek:

I take when my iPhone arrives I can transfer my existing O2 number, my existing contract with cease and I'll just have everything under the new account number?

I'm confused:confused: (I know, it doesn't take much) :p
 
Mine's been delivered (Bournemouth area), but I'm stuck at work until 1pm :(

It went out for delivery at 8:28, so I must have been fairly high up the list.

Anyone know if there's a time limit on using a PAC code?

I'm with Vodafone, not asked for a PAC code yet - if I get one today, will I be able to port the number over, even though I've got a new O2 number set up?

I really need the bathroom, but I'm scared to go :eek:.

My status on o2 is "in progress" and I've not had a tracking number, does this mean its not going to arrive and I'm sitting in for nothing ?

Is it just me or does every single delivery company in the whole damn country drive down your street whilst waiting for a particular one? :(

It's getting a little annoying now...I don't have much patience :p

BE CAREFUL!!

My Dad did exactly the same thing. He was gloating about how easy it was to order online on Monday, and I was like WTF??

When I spoke to him last night he had received all these confirmation emails which as an iPhone upgrader I didn't think he should have been getting. It turns out he had applied for a brand new contract and had 2 account numbers in his 02.

He rang o2 to clarify it, and they said (get this) the only way to sort it out would be to refuse delivery from DHL, wait for the phone to be sent back to o2 and then they would cancel the new contract and refund his money. He would then have to join the queue for an iPhone upgrade.

The best bit? If he signs for the phone, they will take that as acceptance of the contract and he will have to live with it for 18 months.

I told him to start getting REALLY angry with them. He is out at work all day anyway so won't be able to sign for the phone, but has to decide now whether to just leave it to be sent back, or collect it and take on o2.

EDIT: D'oh just read your post again and realised it's totally different situation. Am tired, excited and emotional.
 
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY got one :D (didnt know internal business contracts wherre entitled to upgrades :D)

Rang o2 asked them if they had any stock, they said they had 20 !!! and its 10am here :D

So went over (2 minute walk), gave them my business and told them to offer me the best they can to their most loyal customer. They offered £35p/m 18 mth contract with the iphone for free :D

Vodafone told me they couldnt give me one for 30days!! :mad: Im not that bothered just gunna use the new number O2 give me ;)

YEAH MATE i THINK YOU MAY BE STAYING IN FOR NO REASON, ALL IPHONE ORDERS SHOULD SHOW AS COMPLETE NOW AND YOU WOULD OF GOT A CONFIRMATION TEXT MESSAGE YESTERDAY
