i'm waiting on mine arriving - great to hear you guys' good experiences.

i really hope it comes tomorrow because i'm leaving for the US on friday!

would it be possible to stick the device / sim together a bit to prevent them falling into the phone? maybe double sided tape? i'm really paranoid about losing everything inside!

Yea, thats a good idea but make sure to not tape over the connectors, also the tape has to be very thin.

you guys should give rebelsim a try.

rebelsimcard seem to have no support whatsoever. I contacted them askign a few questions before I actually buy the product and did not answer.

If that's commercial wise.. I don't want to image how it would be once I'm their customer.

Please could anyone answer if these solutions are risky for the iphone? I've read that the two cards might get stuck inside the sim tray :S

How do they make sure that the card will work with each new updates? Rebelsim has a programmer that updates the sim card, does any-network have that also? do they also have a sim cutter? I didn't see any of these on the website, only the smart sim card for sale. Does it come with it or something? Also they claim that all other sim unlock don't actually provider 3G and that this is the only one that does. Is that just them trying to say "our products are better" when really all the smart sim cards are the same?

Of course it works o_O

The smart sim card tricks the iPhone into thinking it's still on the same provider.

It's possible. I've seen people trying to buy sim card trays for this reason.

but if it gets stuck how do you remove the sim tray? I was thinking that maybe using some tape to keep together the 2 sim cards on the tray will help.. i don't know.. I think it's too risky

doubt

I doubt your credentials.

You doubt mine too? The service is excellent. When I thought 3G didnt work I got this answer. I have also tried 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2 without problems

Woohoo, a new design on any-network!!!

Woohooo, a new design on any network!!!

Nice to see that we do not need to cut are Sim Cards anymore!!

My experience with ANY-NETWORK so far

I have an Iphone 3G which I bought in the US, AT&T, I canceled the contract after 30 days and paid the ETF $175.00. So now I have a locked phone without a provider. I bought an ANY-Network card which arrived 8 days later (U.K to Germany). After installing the card my phone searched for a network and came up with all available networks in Germany, I selected my German provider Vodafone.de and Wow! It worked.
Take a closer look. I tried calling a few people, and they told me everything was fine, my number also displayed. Thinking this must really work I was happy and decided success at last. A few days later I had to leave on Business to Chicago. Thinking all was fine with my Iphone, I left my other mobile home. Once I arrived in Chicago I turned the flight mode off expecting my phone to log into the local network. It began searching and came up with all local networks but when I tried to choose one “Network lost” I then pressed “settings” it began searching again, when I selected another network same thing happened. Then I asked a friend to put my Vodafone card in his phone and make a call which he did and it worked. After returning the card to my Iphone and trying again the same problem repeated itself again. OK! Here I am business trip without a phone GREAT:mad:. A few days later I returned to Germany expecting my Iphone to log on to my network once on the ground but all I saw was “NO Service”, at home I took out the Vodafone card from the Iphone and placed it in my other mobile “No Service”. After talking to Vodafone we decided that the Vodafone card defective so I ordered a new one (free). In the mean time I have tried using a card from T-mobile at first it appears to work but then my kids told me that they tried calling me and the mail box picked up. Once again I placed the T-mobile card in my other mobile and it worked as published sms, voice mail and calls. So I placed it back in the Iphone. Guess What ? “No Service”
To make a long story shorter, after destroying 2 telephone cards, I decided to have a chat with Any-Network the person on the phone was very nice and assured me that this was not a common problem, I must have a defective Telephone card this call took place before I tried the T-Mobile card.
What’s my next move?
Hope you don’t have this problem.

do you think this 2nd version is safer as far as things getting stuck inside the iphone is concerned?

can you actually put some tape around to make sure your SIM card and the any-network chip stay together?

Update to my previous post "My experience with ANY-NETWORK so far"

Yes, I did restart the Phone several times, each time I inserted the card to refresh the settings.
Update to my previous post. I’ve been mocking around a bit with my Iphone and maybe I’ve found a solution to half of my problem. My Iphone is Pwn-ed, Jail-Broken version 2.0.1 and I had installed “BossPerfs” an application that gives you more control of Iphone Settings. In this application I had both “3G and EDGE” turned on also had 3G turned on in Iphone Network settings. After switching these settings to “OFF” I was able to access T-Mobile D without 3G, I can now make and receive calls, voice mail, and SMS. I know T-Mobile has 3G but there seems to be a problem and I am assuming it’s the Any-Network card .
Can anyone help!

How to cut sim and install any-network

I just received my sim from any-network but it does not include any instructions on how to cut my sim and how to insert the 2 sims together.
Anyone have any instructions on how to do this. (And now I see they have a newer card that doesn't even require that you cut your sim :(

Thanks for any help with this.

Is it one of the newer sims? The new version 2 does not require cutting of the sim card. Have a look and make sure to use a little tape to keep the sims together incase one decides to slip into the phone and get stuck, I've heard of stories of this happening so better safe than sorry.

I don't doubt that this does work but i like the fact that all the people reporting this are from August, 2008. Besides that i'm just wondering how does the 2nd version smart sim card work without cutting the sim card?

original sim, not new version 2 from any-network

I have the original, not the new version 2 that does not require the sim to be cut.
Can anyone tell me how/where to cut the sim?
