He has nice feedback also. I bought from him, it's directly shipped from the company in china.

Okey so I recieved one of his simcards today they are extremly cheap compared to all the other simcards, but I can tell you this. It worked like crap. It kept saying no simcard installed and when it finally worked it took only 2 minutes for it to change to no simcard installed again. And no I didn't do it wrong because right after that I tried both my rebelsimcard and my any-network card and they BOTH worked perfectly like they have always.
Anyway I tried my rebelsimcard for about 4 days and I can say it has NO problems at all. And I am using the any-network card because I paid so damn much for it and I can say that one works very very well also. But If I would choose I think I would go with the rebelsimcard because it is 1/3rd the price of any-network + they work equally as good. But yet I have not tried any cards with 3g.

Please, keep us informed when you test 3G function with both cards (any-network and rebel sim)

Thx

I tried the any-network sim

Hey guys

I've been using the Any-network piggyback sim for about a week now. The postage took longer than expected and after a few initial hiccups, I managed to get my iphone 3g working on T-Mobile in the UK. The problem is that as of this morning, my screen shows 'no sim'. I have switched it off, reset my phone, and wiped the piggyback sim but nothing seems to work. Is this symptomatic of piggyback sims or is mine just faulty? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

any network

The any-network sim card piggyback arrived over one week after I ordered it (delivered to my house in Beijing) though they say 3-4 days, it took me almost an hour of trying to put it in correctly and unbending it and all, I have had no email responses to my questions (hence I found you guys and loved the forums I was reading!) ... however, the SIM card piggyback has worked almost like magic. There isn't a 3G network in Beijing, I think, so I can't test that function, but the sms and phone functions have been reliable for the 10 days I've had it. From what I understand, to sync it with itunes, I've been switching it to airplane mode--I guess disabling the sim card--so of course I'm not getting calls then, and it will still read No SIM CARD detected after I disconnect. So far, turning the power off and then back on again--though the process takes 1 minute- has been working so far so good for me. It's a small monetary and convenience price to pay for such a phone with such cool functions!;)

Uhm that isn't supposed to happen. Try to put your simcard into another phone, play with it a bit and then put it back in the iphone.

And I have changed my mind about this unlock sim card.

Card sold

Same card is here:

A while ago in this forum when I tested it, it seemed not to work. But now for some reason it works perfect. Had no problems with signal drops or anything and my friend has been using it for like a month now. They are like 1/5th the price of the anynetwork cards. Currently I'm sticking with rebelsimcards until they release a software unlock. I am sticking with rebel because I can upgrade the rebel versions with a programmer.

And here is a small update on 3g with rebelsim and anynetwork.

I have alot of friends that get their 3g to work with rebelsim and anynetwork. But I myself have alot of problems with it. If I put my original simcard into another 3g phone, then I surf a bit then I put the simcard with either rebel or anynetwork into my iphone I get 3g and I can surf for a while. The problem is the 3g dissapears after some time. It has taken only a couple of hours some times to dissapear. One time I had it on for 24 hours until I restarted the phone.

The problem with these unlock simcards is that they seem to remove the option "Carrier" in options so that you cant chose the carrier that provides 3g. I live in Sweden and here in Sweden even though you have a simcard from a company there will be different carriers for 2g and 3g and the iphone changes to the carrier with 2g everytime. If you have in your country 1 carrier for both 2g AND 3g then 3g should work for you forever.

It is said that rebelsim are working on the "carrier" problem but they haven't gotten far yet so we will just have to wait.

Conclusion: If your carrier has the same network for both 2g and 3g then you are good to go.
If your carrier has 2 different networks, one for 2g and one for 3g (like mine has) then you might have alot of problems.
To get the 3g started put it into another 3g phone, surf a bit then put it back into iphone.

None of these are speculations. This is from experience thank you.

I'm still trying to get a solid grasp on what this SIM card add-on does.

I have:
iPhone 3G
AT&T in Boston, MA

Basically I can use this add-on SIM, and use non-ATT SIM cars with my phone, without a software unlock?

So let's say I'm going to Aruba in December :))). I can use a local SIM card + "any-network" SIM, and use my iphone 3g on the local GSM network? How do you select the carrier? (is there a menu, or does it use the carrier paired to the SIM?)

Yes to all of your questions.

Any-network on iPhone 2.2 Working fine with T-Mobile USA

Works perfectly for me on T-Mobile USA, the only thing i notice is that in my school they shut off cell phone signals so i lose my connection (expired keys) with T-Mobile. I cannot gain the signal back automatically but rather i have to manually remove the sim insert it into another phone and place a call with it to update the keys. Contradictory to what the website claims the proxy sim will lose connection over time, which is the reason i bought it. I emailed them today and waiting for a response =).

Any-network sim adaptor

Please do not waste your money on the any-network sim as they are a load of s**t. I have had 2 of these for my iphone 3g and they both kept dropping the sinal every week. The seond one was the new version one which only lasted two months. Sent the second one back for a replacement but never got one. Sent them a letter and they never replied. They have taken their contact details off their web site so you cant contact them. If yo u want to use your iphone 3g on the new 3.0 software just jailbreak it and then unlock it. Youtube will tell you how to do this step by step. This is the best thing i done. Tust me when i tell you to leave Any-Network.com well alone.
Hope this helps.
