Misc. updates (2.5 hours on the phone today):

- the person who promised me the 48 hour call back on Sunday has been fired (extension deactivated)
- another rep told me she would have been the only one who could help me with my existing request
- subsequently I was told there was no record of my request anywhere
- one rep tried to put the 7+ into the Apple Store shopping card for me - which failed. Then she transfered me to help desk, which had a "business hours are ..." [right now], then disconnected
- if you dial the Apple #, every other time you get "this person has a voicemail that has not been configured ...", then hang up
- I was told that the Apple Store and hotline will not be able to make outbound calls until after launch day
- in the last hour, the procedure changed again - now I am being directed to the preorder link, with launch day pickup availability for all models except Jet Black (this is in Bellevue, WA)


Thanks for telling I was able to reserve a 7+ 128 GB Matte black in last 5 mins using the app and Apple Upgrade Program directly. Really thanks
 
GUYS AND LADIES!!!! I don't know if this is happening all over, but it looks like my local stores have the iphones. I just made a reservation for this Friday and received the confirmation email. Go check the website's reservation page again!!!! I was able to reserve my 7+ Black 128GB Verizon phone when it was previously sold out. (Jet Black in my configuration was still sold out though) but all other phones were listed as available so I RESERVED!!!

I was able to reserve!!! Att 7+128gb black. I guess I got the last reservation in AZ for the day.

I'm happy now. I hope Apple allows online upgrade next year and ability to ship back or submit phone to Apple Store. I suggest for those who hasn't been able to reserve to keep checking tomorrow or at 10pm tonight. Stores are probably starting to receive their inventory from Alaska and Apple setting aside some for IUP.

Same here! Checked last night before going to bed on a whim and saw 7+ 128gb and 256gb in black (no jet black) available at a few of the Manhattan stores and my local store on Long Island for launch day pickup. Grabbed a 256 reservation with confirmation! What are the odds

I just checked my stores and low and behold, the 128 GB 7+ in Black & Gold were in stock, was able to make reservations for me and my wife to pick-up on Friday. Thanks for everyone keeping this thread updated, I wouldn't have even thought to check otherwise!

EDIT: This was for AT&T by the way, south Florida location.

Just got this email from Apple, even though I already checked the reservations and got my phones reserved. Looks like they made it work!

My guy I was working with just called and told me to go on the app or online and reserve. I said "so we don't have a phone reserved?" Basically he said no this is how it had to be done.

Monday I was told I had a phone reserved and would just go in the store Friday and give them my name! Glad I followed up!

I am incredibly disappointed in this customer service experience. I want out of this dumb program!

Has anyone else received a call like this? I just spoke to my rep last night and he said I was all set. His shift starts this afternoon so I'll see whether he calls me. I'll follow up with him via email and will post his reply here.

Just fyi The only reason I got the call is because I emailed the rep as I had not yet received a confirmation email.
 
Unless you have the reservation confirmation email. I don't think you're set.
 
I just spoke with my rep. He says my iPhone 7 Plus is definitely reserved, tied to my current iPhone SN. He repeated to stand in the IUP line and tell them I was sent by Apple. I guess tomorrow will tell but I'm going to stop worrying about what other people were told. Sounds like the usual round of rumors and misinformation. Hope it works out well for everyone.
 
I have reservation to pick up iPhone7+ 128 GB jet black today at Beverly Center.

Just picked up my iPhone 7 Plus matte black a little while ago. It was a very smooth experience. I showed my email from Apple Support to a manager, she found my reserved phone in the back, took me through the upgrade process, and I was out of there within 20 minutes even though the store was packed and there were lines everywhere, even for people with reservations. Thanks for taking responsibility to fix the IUP problem Apple. Hope everyone else has an equally positive experience.
 
Has anyone who upgraded today checked their Citizen's One account? I'm curious when the old loan will show as paid. Currently mine still shows a balance of ~$400.
 
So told to come back after 12:01 am today- only to find the EXACT same problem- no iphone 7 Plus available at any store in my entire state, and the two closest states. Talk about not being prepared. How frustrating.

hmmm... still not working for me. Could you include a link to the short form page? I never received an email like this- nothing in fact after the initial email telling me I am eligible to upgrade. Haven't been able to reserve one since last week!

Sorry if I missed it but did you call Apple, tell them you're an IUP member, and asked to speak to the IUP department? If all else fails, send an email to Tim Cook. You should get a call back from his executive team.
