i just got done purchasing my iphones via upgrade program. went smoothly. separate line for those who had an appointment.

received an email from citizens bank regarding my "loan" for each phone that i purchased via the program.

rep swore to me that the phones were TOTALLY unlocked. told him about all the confusion online, said their reps sometimes suck but he was adamant that the phones via the upgrade program are totally unlocked. haven't checked yet, not opening my phone for a bit until i get home.

Can you give us some information about the credit check? Your general credit picture?

Also - what kind of carrier information did you have to provide?

One more screen shot with other hard inquiries from my credit report.

Why are you guys assuming that the credit requirements will be strict? Apple isn't extending you credit it's a CC company. Same process as getting credit at any other store.

May I ask your credit score? Just curious from a guy with not so good credit.

Interesting...not opening your phone...They didn't make you activate before leaving? I'm asking this because I'm on T-mobile Postpaid and i really don't need to check in with t mobile to "activate" my phone i switch sims all the time.

Did you HAVE to activate your phone before leaving the store? I ask because my account is a business account and while I don't anticipate any issues, there definitely could be issues with activation.

Not particularly worried just trying to have a game plan for today. If I can't get my phones through the upgrade program at Apple I have to head to AT&T.

they did not make me open the phone, but they DID make me activate it. they ask you what number you want on the phone and activate it. current iphone 6 plus now has no service, new still boxed 6s plus has my AT&T number.

yes, you have to activate it. however i was watching the screens, and they choose whether it's "business" or "consumer" when activating, so you may be fine!

Because people are paranoid over this.

That's really odd.

Just got back from Apple and used the Apple upgrade problem. Approved quickly ( Credit score just under 800). I was under the impression that Apple Care + was included, but it is not. They still charge you for it but the cost is spread out over the 24 months.

But is the monthly payment still what they have listed on the website?? What phone and size did you get and what is your payment?

That means it's included.

Me too. It's moments like this that I'm really mad at myself for letting t get so bad. Wish I had made better decisions before.
Never too late to start, my credit used to be so bad no one would give me credit. My advice is try a credit union, they are run by the members and are usually more forgiven. Started with them over two years ago and now I have increased my score over 100 points about to enter the land of the 700 Lol, and have an adequate amount of credit. Just remember try to pay your cards in full and keep the utilization ratio low.
