 I have had this issue for weeks now using the beta on my pad and phone. Apparently Apple engineers and testers have had perfect experiences in their distorted reality test labs. Does Tim use his own products?

No problems here with my 7. Is this a widespread issue or just hey let’s put it on the front page because will be good for trolling and clicks?

battery life on my 6s has gotten significantly worse after the update.
I installed the update as soon as it came out - I'm certain it is not re-indexing.

Last night when I was sending messages after I got off a plane I literally watched the battery % went down from 80% to 70% in 2 minutes (then slowed down for some reason, maybe it was doing something in the background)
- no app was running in the background since I kill apps I don't use on a regular basis.

This morning I took public transit to work - I was listening music on Pandora w/ Bose QC30 - when I arrived at my office, only 40% battery left on the phone. I have done that countless times in the past and I don't think it has drained that much battery during any of my previous commutes.

Maybe I'm lucky, but my 7 plus seems noticeably faster since the update. Makes me less inclined to believe "planned obsolescence" conspiracy theories and more inclined to think that problems can/will be ironed out.

11 gets all working, and well on latest (x).

11.1 gets working well on all.

Past years show this, and geekbench speed this year was shown on ... 11.1 ;)

Add me to the list. But, figured it's the cost of being on the bleeding edge of technology. I'm confident that it'll get cleaned up in 11.1. Till then I'm taking full advantage of a lot of the new features (screen recording, screenshots that don't auto save to my camera/photostream, AR games, having AppleRemove/Home access in control center, etc).

Maybe ARKIT now can mimic Steve Jobs famed Reality Distortion Field so everybody has a great experience! :D

How long will TimMAY LAST at CEO? It's been an entire month of one flub after another!

Every day it's something new. I couldn't make this up if I had it in for the guy or something! :D

In general my 7 and 10.5 Pro have been fine with iOS 11. But every now and again i'll notice a hesitation, like when opening an app or closing one etc. that didn't happen in iOS 10. I would say there's definitely some minor performance "glitches" in iOS 11.

I have a 6s, 16GB. I’ve tested iOS 11 since it’s release at WWDC and I’ve had all the log files clog this device up, but I still didn’t have any issues with stuttering and opening apps after the second beta. I did a clean install of the production release and performance is great.

Doing a clean install and setting up as a new device is a pain but it will help you clean out your device, especially if you always do OTA updates. And yes, backups get corrupted. Restore and set up as a new iPhone. Don’t be lazy.
.

Nice idea, but there are text message threads I dont want to lose. Setting up as a new device and not restoring from backup removes all my photos, text messages, settings, documents etc.

Frankly, this is a unix based operating system. Full system wipes shouldnt be that necessary...it's not Windows

I haven't really been having slow down problems, but my iPhone has taken to randomly rebooting itself sometimes. Also, since updating the Apple TV, it regularly needs to be restarted.
I'll go and search for a show on my library, select the episode I want to play and it will just sit there with the spinning circle.
Really, Apple has become worse since the passing of Jobs. I think Cook is doing a terrible job.

I haven't noticed tons of problems, but I have the animations turned off so things just launch without the bells and whistles.

Lots of bugs in the Mail app though!

It’s been good in 3 devices here. iPad Pro 10 inch, iPhone 7+ and iPhone 6, oh and an iPad mini. Probably the smoothest update I’ve seen. Anyhow it’s normal to expect a few hiccups.

Absolute truth here. Things were better on beta then GM, same with watch. Yesterday I unpaired watch and did and complete wipe and restore on phone and watch. Much better now.

not seeing any such problems on my 5s, fwiw. main hit to battery life i experienced recently was since getting a fitbit, but that was a fortnight or so before the iOS upgrade. No issues since.

I have iPhone 7 256GB and close to 200GB of storage used. It would take two weeks for my iPhone to recover all data from iCloud backup. How do I know that ? I have 320Mbps real/proved download speed on WiFi and within this speed it used to take 6-7 days to fully recover my previous 128GB iPhone 6S.

And yes, my GM iOS 11 is acting like it’s alpha version, not even close to beta.

As much as I'd like to chalk this up to pure placebo, I have noticed a considerable improvement in stability since restoring my iPhone as new to iOS 11, rather than upgrading from beta to GM. The software has the same 1's and 0's either way, but clearly there's a mismatch between the pre-existing build and the new build layered on top.
