It is in no way a flop, but the rumors of constrained supply were definitely overblown. I expected that we would have ship dates into early next year, and they are still saying that iPhones are available for Christmas delivery. That is pretty good for 12 hours into the pre-order stage. Either the price tag scared more people away than they thought, or more phones are available than they thought.

There are more iPhones than analysts thought. Apple doesn’t tell people that they should go to Apple Store and line up for the iPhone because it’s launching in 55 countries without significant supply on hand at launch.

That is quite funny. You are crazy if you think it is flop. It is a massive hit, plus Apple is getting more money for a phone than ever before.

Hours later and there are still some configurations available for launch day delivery. Carriers have them for launch day delivery as well. Looks like the most lackluster iPhone launch ever. Even iPhone 8 was selling better. What was all the fuss about? Raised my BP for no reason.

It’s not that the phone is a flop, or that people aren’t buying it. It’s more like KGI’s ‘insider info’ on supply should be taken with a grain of salt.

Last year, every obnoxious liberal outlet was expecting Hillary would win the election and by a landslide. After the shocking results, liberal were scrambling for answers. They pointed to the silent voters.

I personally don't believe X will flop. If it sold only 20M, then maybe I would consider it which is ironic because that's typically how well a Note sells while iPhones sell about 60M plus in their lifetime. But this forum isn't the voice for the world.

The more X are sold, the more Apple will price gouge us. Maybe more people are speaking up and taking a stand by not opening their wallet or checkbook. Apple doesn't care about Mac people. Evil empire that can control and think for us.

Going to be $1,500-$2,500 iPhones in a few years. Part of me doesn't care if it flops or not. Price gouging just needs to stop. I can buy an Xbox One X and Nintendo Switch w/ Mario Odyssey bundle and still have some savings left. I can buy three Switches w/ Mario for one iPX.

They might be video games but those devices don't need replacing every 2-3 years. If iPhones start selling on average of $1200-$1500 in a few years, then forget ever getting upgrades on Macs.
Is it price gouging though? The phone is literally the center of most people's lives. You use it every day. What other device do you use multiple times everyday.

An Appl exec just used the same word... unprecedented... which they used to describe the pre-orders for the iPhone 10. You are defending a ridiculous statement, you are wrong. Especially given they released two different phones this year which they have never done and sales are still obviously very strong.

You must be delusional....this will be the most in-demand iPhone ever.....
All indications are that demand will outstrip supply throughout the rest of the year....

Maybe the note 3, but note sales have tanked.
The note 8 have barely sold 600,000 units.

iPhone x is expected to sell 30 million units in about 2 months.
