Hey everyone,

I was planing on buying the iPhone X on pre-order day (October 27th) and then I realized that probably there will not be an International unlocked version until a few weeks if not more after the realease. I was wondering if it would be possible to buy one of the carrier phones, put in an Israeli SIM card and that’s it..

Any chance this is possible or no way to get the iPhone X before the unlocked version is out?

Thanks for the answers :)

You can buy the T-Mobile version from Apple. It's unlocked and the GSM model assuming that is what is used in Israel.

I actually understood that only the Verizon phones would work in Israel.
Are the T-mobile phone that apple
Is selling unlocked to all carriers?

Not unlocked to all carriers. T-mobile models have intel chipset so it will only work on GSM carriers. It will not work on Verizon or Sprint or any CDMA networks. But if Israel has a GSM carrier then the T-mobile Model will suffice.

So if I travel a lot and I am not always in Israel I’m better off waiting for the unlocked version? For example if I need to put in a local sim that uses CDMA..

You might as well if need to use a cdma based carrier.
