iPhone X Leather Case arrived [Pics Inside]

Hi All,

Ordered the black leather Apple case the same day as the iPhone X and it arrived today. As I went for the space grey phone I decided to go with a standard black case, however I was strongly considering the aubergine. Anyway, not much to see but here are some pics.

Kinda wish they had gone with silver buttons on the black case as the black ones don't stand out as being metallic.

Got mine too. I see a lot of wrinkles on the edges, and some bumps on the border, it isn’t perfect, how is yours ?

What I am most curious about- is how does the leather feel? These leather cases were really amazing for the iphone 6 line, and then really went down the drains with this slick almost fake feeling to them for the 7/7plus line. I did notice some of the colors- think the electric blue or whatever it was called- was better than some of the originals for the 7 leather cases.

Also have a black & cosmos blue coming today- probably will just keep one- hopefully whichever feels softer/less slippery.

I really like the feel, it has a nice grip too, but I’ve only had the silicon one to compare it

Can we see the folio when you get it? I am tempted but I am not sure about the interior. I want to be able to insert a card and not have it move around in there. TIA

I'd say it feels slick and plasticy as you describe. Ive had the softer feel before so I know what you mean. It doesn't smell of leather either, it has a chemically smell to it, presumably the dye.

Yeah I have some bumpiness and puckering around where the leather is pulled around the corners of the case. Hadn't noticed it till you said. My volume button and power button area is perfect though.

Just received my black leather today as well and can say its perfect. Every year I usually have to go through about 4 cases to get one that I am satisfied with but must have lucked out this year. You never know what you are going to find with these leather cases when you open them up.

The leather case will be smooth to begin with; and as it us used and ages, it will get some grip to it. Be careful using a new case.

This is not true- there was a huge difference in material from the iphone 6 to iphone 7 leather cases. Yes, they will soften a bit over time, but the material was completely different. This is documented in different posts on this forum.

I'm not sure if I should request an exchange for mine, can anyone check and tell me if yours has the same quality on the volume buttons side? (I've attached two photos up above)

I'm waiting for the saddle brown too. The Apple logo seems more concave on the black one? Or maybe it's just the light.

Thanks for sharing and I agree about the buttons, they'd look nicer being silver in all leather cases. I actually thought they were until now.

Cosmos blue. Got a nice crease in the leather on the back but it doesn’t bother me.

Looking at the QC of this years leather cases makes me glad I’ve gone with an alternative... this is the very reason I returned both of my iPhone 7 cases last year as better quality for a similar price can be found elsewhere. It’s a shame as I would have preferred to have a genuine case but the above pictures make me cringe.

Walked in and asked the first person if they were selling iPhone X cases and he said yes. The girl he grabbed to get them for me said they were told not to sell them. Almost had a full blown argument but the dude won!

Taupe is fine as hell... I love it.

Charcoal grey should also compliment the SG iPhone X I got too. It has a wee bit of brown in that I like.
