Disappointing an Apple product can be this off.
Anyone concerned about possibly scratching the camera (when placing screen up on table) since the camera lens is flash using the leather case?
Never had a problem in the past with several apple leather cases. That sapphire cover on the lens works great.
Slipped my new iPhone X into a black apple leather case last night , fantastic case as always love it, well worth 50$

Thanks for posting. It's really nice to get some sort of idea as to how they will age. I've got the Cosmos Blue for my Silver X.
Have other people noticed how much nicer the cases are for the X since the cutout for the camera is now flush against the camera bump? Cases for previous iPhone models, including the 8, had oversized cutouts to accommodate the flash. The subtle refinements Apple does are always appreciated.
I agree regarding the camera cutout, the flush seamless current cutout in the new cases is much better

Yes. As long as the case is 3mm thick or less, and doesn't have metal in it.
Picked up a saddle brown today. Feels so much better than the silicone. Excited to see how it ages. It was REALLY hard not to get black though.

i really wanted the taupe but i wasn't sure how it would develop a patina. i watched a video and it said the case will turn blue from jeans.
debating on saddle brown or charcoal gray for space gray iPhone X? i had the saddle brown for my iPhone 6 so kinda want something different.

For those who have the Apple leather case, is your camera centred in the cutout? Any gaps between the camera and the edges of the cutout?
The camera is not centred in the cutout on mine. The lower right corner of the camera touches the leather but there’s a small 1mm gap along the other edges.

I got the Taupe, as I have a beige car, and it looked beige-ish online
But in real life, it's the color of foundation creams, so it's a very womanly color - not recommended
It has a much darker hue than it's online renderings

Just saw this photo, I was going for this shade of Taupe, which is pretty much beige, but I was a bit suprised with a much darker color - I'm guessing lighting conditions, indeed photos capture the color lighter
It seems the creases are a bit of a lottery too
Best to buy leather cases in a brick and mortar manner, in Turkey they are only available online tho
[doublepost=1515072920][/doublepost]Third message, I got to like Taupe, yet I wasn't very lucky leather-wise, have a crease that goes from top to bottom going near the apple logo, doesn't look very good, I do like the ones that are horizontol - worst part is the camera cutout, mine has been shaved at the bottom parts in an uneven way, I checked some of the earlier photos, it seems most cases don't have any shavings near the camera cutout at all
Edit: Decided to keep it but I hope it gets it leather wear soon to mask the imperfections

I've had three apple leather cases. Gave one to my dad when I gave him my old 6plus. Wore one completely out as well.
Mine definitely compare to those cases. No significant bumps or creases. I of course don't have a phone in them to test fitment. I am usually a perfectionist and am happy with them so far.
There are some very slight natural wrinkles in the hide that look beautiful actually and think will age amazingly.
Here is the best I could do to show them:
Animal hide has "wrinkles" but these ones are not obtrusive and look normal.

I got a black one, it's perfect (no imperfections, camera cutout issues, unlucky wrinkles etc.), almost got the charcoal, but didn't risk getting an unexpected shade of grey
If you have black leathered notebooks and chrome trimmed pens, the silver iphone + black leather case goes along with them well
