I’m interested in the folio cases, but not 100% sure yet.

Really wish the bottom was covered (and with wireless charging / no headphone jack, it would seem like could add the little bit of extra protection at the bottom)

For those who’ve used folio cases on a phone, do you ever notice any light “lines” or faint impressions on the phone glass from the grooves (or possibly cards or something) from the front of the case?

I feel like sometimes I see these impressions on my iPad (when it’s on a completely white screen) & I use the smart case.

It was lines across the screen and it actually wore down the coating a bit. Luckily I ended up cracking the screen totally and then got it replaced then I got a plain leather case. I'll probably get the Apple saddle leather case.
 
Wonder if it'd still shut ok with a screen protector. Standard film should be ok but a tempered glass maybe not.

I’m thinking the same thing.....I plan on getting a belkin film if they end up making one for the x
 
a good thing about these cases, is that the screen won't shatter, if you drop it.. I've done that many times with my 7 plus

I like to know what holds the cover closed ? Does it use some sort of mAgents?

Yeah I love the color too. I like the watch band, but sadly my wrists are too small to fit most of the official Apple bands. I am getting the Obsidian Nike band which is sort of similar. Both dark shades of blue.
 
I wanted to buy the apple folio case but the shipping times are stupid now...ill just do store pickup...i assume they will be available day 1.
 
As some have said, yes, too expensive - though very nice looking and quality leather.

My problem with ANY folio case is what do you do when you want to take a photo?? The cover has to dangle while you aim. I don't like that at all.

Yea exactly I tried a folio case but it’s a pain when you want to take a photo. They should have cut something h out of the front cover so it doesn’t have to flap when you use the camera.
 
What's wrong with the flap hanging down when taking photos?

Always use my thumb on the volume-up button to take my photos, can't see how it's a problem.
 
Supposedly it's smart like iPad's

But I've never had an experience using a case with a flap

I've always liked the idea of ditching my wallet though

Do you think it's worth it?

More pros or cons?
