That's because it's just "there", part of the phone, part of its design. You'll probably find that the majority of notch haters on here don't even own an iPhone X. It's not like we haven't known about what this looks like for the past few weeks if not months going by the leaks way ahead of the reveal. People have had plenty of time to make their mind up about whether or not a non-uniform screen would bother them or not.

Haters gonna hate.. I'm happy with my iPhone

And that's all that matters. As I was saying earlier, I think sometimes when you frequent tech forums, the smallest issues are the biggest problems for some. But Outside tech forums, the notch isn't that much of an issue for those who really want this new iPhone.

I'm on a 2 year update cycle, and had always bought the 'S' version, starting with 3G, then 4S, 5S and 6S.. So this being an update year, but it's not a true 'S' cycle phone..

I can't help but wonder what they'll do next year.. Surely they won't call the next one the iPhone XS.. I think a phone that could possibly be pronounced 'excess' (even if incorrectly so) might be a bit much.. It would just fulfill all the negative stereotypes about Apple and Apple customers

I have to say, having the iPhone X and doing many things with it, looking at it.. I don't even notice the notch.
Did anyone else have a similar experience once they actually got the phone ?

I don't understand the uproar.

How do you feel about the home bar at the bottom striking out text in Safari and the rounded bottom corners clipping text?

I agree. I hated the idea of it, and seeing it in all of the pictures, and other people using it... thought for sure it would drive me crazy. But after using the phone all weekend, it’s barely even noticeable.

Now what is noticeable, is the significant loss of screen real estate when I look back at my iPhone 7. And that actually really surprised me.

Apps will be updated and bugs fixed. Are you running 11.2 beta 2?

Nah, just checked it out at the store today. Any way you cut it, those rounded bottom corners are incompatible with text display unless the sides are letterboxed or the bottom isn't used, and either way, the screen really isn't as big logically as it is physically. This bugs me a lot more than the notch, which I can tell I would get used to.

You scroll.

I mean... who reads like this...?

lol, Apple fanboys really trying to convince themselves the notch is good.

Face it, Apple had like 3 years to perfect this phone and they failed.

But whatever makes you happy lol

I don't think anyone is saying it's 'good' or 'bad.' I literally forget it's there. Apple did a decent job by using the 'ears' on top to put battery/signal in those spots. It's like it's dedicated to that info without taking away from the rest of the page.

How do you like it? Enjoying your iPhone X besides that?

I don’t really notice it cuz I usually don’t look at the top at the screen when I’m browsing
Also this.

Like I said above... it looks bad in pics, but in real-world usage you don’t really notice it, because you don’t stare at the top of your screen.

If you hate it during videos, just rotate your phone the other way so the notch is on the right. I find that it’s much less noticeable there than when it’s on the left.

Obviously, and it's looks absolutely terrible until you do. It would be even worse if that particular page were displayed edge to edge, because then the bottom corners would clip the text.

Everyone with an iPhone X. Obviously.
Now you’re just being petty for the sake of being petty.

Don’t buy an iPhone X.

I think quite a few people would like a X Plus; not sure how its physical dimensions would compare to the current Plus... taller but around the same width as the Plus, I guess.

In fact, in that particular case, you would scroll the page up.
That’s what I’m saying. I mean, I would think that most people do scroll, and generally read mostly toward the middle of the screen. I can’t imagine a scenario where I’d read all the way to the absolute bottom edge of the screen before ever scrolling. I’ve never done that. Do people actually do that?

I never wanted the Plus size.. I started with 3.5 inch screen through iPhone 4S and thought it was adequate. The 5S pushed it to 4 inches, and the 6S pushed to 4.6 inches or whatever it is.. the iPhone X is MUCH BIGGER than that, but it doesn't feel big and bulky like a Plus phone.. It's important for me that my phone fit comfortably in my pocket.

My phone is also my wallet.
