Ordered via the Verizon app. Received my confirmation email at 2:01. Very smooth process overall! I hope my order doesn’t get pushed back.

Ordered 1 Gray and 1 White for my friend shipping on November 3 - here in Australia. Was able to order at exactly 6:02.
 
Why does it need to know a carrier if you're ordering an unlocked phone on the US site? Are there any differences in the carriers? Says it delivers with a carrier's SIM. Confused here. Was ready to order as soon as the site was up, but that one issue screwed me over when I kept thinking over and over again what I'm supposed to do, and now it's at 4-5 weeks for delivery (((( Wanted to order for using abroad, not in the US.

That happened to me as well . I had the unlocked AT&T iPhone in favorites and when I wanted to pay it it asked me for AT&T client info, so I had to do it again with T-Mobile now and it let me but I was able to get it by Nov. 3 it slipped to 1-2 weeks
 
Apple Store App on iPhone was fully working about 6-7 minutes after the sales start.

Still managed to order Silver 256GB for Nov 3 delivery (via browser) and a Space Gray 256GB for Nov 17 - 24 delivery via the App.

Not an entirely smooth process, but knowing that people pretty much from all over the whole world were making orders at the same time, I’m a happy camper having the two Xs on their way.

Verizon app froze multiple times for me at xx:00am. I was about to give up since it was now xx:05 but have Verizon’s desktop site a try. Space grey 64gb for nov 3 at xx:09. I was shocked. Stock seemed more plentiful early on then the 7 models.
 
It went ok considering, Apple.com was late a few minutes, then I got an error 2-3 times during the last order process.

2-3 weeks is not bad for Sweden. The dates slipped to 4-5 weeks shortly after. Some places even report early January. Ouch.
From what I noticed the first device to get the dates pushed was the silver 256 followed by the grey 256. Both 64 were available for release day.

Upgrade complete. I think. Delivery got bumped to a week later due to website slow response. Still have not received confirmation email. App and site do acknowledge receipt of order.

Couldn’t get in till 10 minutes or so after the appointed time. I had pre registered for the upgrade program, and it told me I could pick it up at the store Nov 3rd. Got the appointment time and all. However, an hour later, and I have yet to receive a confirmation email. When I look at “orders” in the app, I see none. However if I try the upgrade program, it tells me that my order is pending. Grrr.

Going to go to bed.

So I preordered using Apple Pay, paid in full and have it set up as pickup from the store. Is it normal for my card to not have been charged yet? Is that done at the time of pickup?
 
what sucks is that apple seems to throttle access to the store, some people not being able to get in for a while, and by that time the delivery dates have pushed out.

Sorry for the people who missed launch and were at their computers / devices before pre-order opened


Yea ATT as well, I guess they need to though a few years ago it was a total disaster where it took hours until they would process correctly.

Got one in each color ordered, set for Nov 3 delivery (yay!) but unfortunately both are going to the wrong address. Anyone know if it's possible to change the shipping address once the order is placed?
 
I'm totally pissed off, since 12:01 I was refreshing like lunatic and the site and the app on my iPhone not working, only in 12:07 I got it, shipping 17-24 Nov. :mad:

Att app still shows 11/3 Delivery 55 minutes after start of pre order. No way that's correct. Think there will be a lot of angry people that used the Att app. Glad I used Apple store and got 11/3 delivery at 12:06. Now showing 4-5 weeks whil

I won't do this again. I'm wondering if those with the 'reservation' issue/glitch were predominantly AT&T. It's seeming that way. So I think I need to ditch them if true. Why do we even have to type in our phone number, etc. What does it matter if we're paying full price and phones are unlocked now?

Got in via the iPhone app at 3:01 and got a confirmation email at 03:02:17 NYC time for pick up at Soho on Nov 3rd. So quick and easy this time. It took me less than 20s to place my order. I got iPhone X T-Mobile 256GB Space Gray.
 
Dumb question. I got one of the “we can’t contact your carrier but here’s a reservation number” screens. Does anyone have the url for checking the status of the reservation? I forgot to write that down....
