256gb Space gray, AT&T delivers Nov. 3rd

I'm stoked, I've never gotten launch day delivery or pick-up before......

Got my order in via the Apple Store app at 3:03 AM, shipping 1-2 wks. Web browser on my laptop still saying the site is down. Overall, I'm content.

I had the exact opppsite experience. App refused to work (it’s my usual method). Website worked perfectly.

Got in my order by 3:07. Nov 3rd.

Got my husband’s in 5 minutes later. Nov 13-24. His said Nov 3 until I got to the cart to finalize. Wild.

My son was ordering himself one and had to give up halfway through. App freaked out. Used my laptop. Got Nov 13-24.

This one reminded me of the 6 plus launch.
 
While this was my first time doing this (yes, my cherry is popped), chief complaint with ATT...I didn't know 18 minutes in cue would take almost 45 minutes! I can't really complain, I may get my phone in the next week or so I think.

Managed to score a space grey 256 GB from Telstra in Australia for a Nov 3 delivery with an email at 6:10pm (Opened at 6:01 PM) and 2 minutes later my son missed out and still has yet to get an email
 
I ordered through the app at 12:08 pacific and still no acknowledgement from apple that I bought anything, no email or order status on website, except for the iPhone upgrade program page saying my upgrade is pending.
I ordered over an hour ago, the process seemed complete, but I too have received no confirmation email. The Apple Store app says I have no recent orders for my account, and no recent activity whatsocer, in fact; but when I go to the full website it says it cannot display my orders, and to try back in a few hours.

Pre-ordered through Apple. Store crashed twice during checkout. By the time I got through shipping was Dec 3 -11. Sigh...

Question.. are the non-crontract iPhones that are paid in full (no monthly payments) unlocked?
I normally don’t go through AT&T to upgrade. I normally just buy the phone when the unlocked ones come out in the Apple store. Thx.

Just check your local craigslist & that'll tell you. Already 8+ on Seattle's sub-section for $1500+ USD

Got in at 12:05 ish using the app, pre approved, upgrade program. 256gb ‘black’ shipping in 1-2 weeks, delivery approx 10-17 Nov.
 
Got through On website. Nov 10-17 delivery. All in on it was very smoooth for me on the website. The app opened up about two mins after I had already ordered. Got through a few seconds after me and he delivery is the 24th.

Cannot upgrade with ATT. I select my existing device to upgrade, but the only option on check-out is to pay full price.

And of course, it is outside of business hours, so there is nobody available to help. (And "chat" is down as well.)

Outside of a new queueing system that I guess keeps from overwhelming their servers, ATT is a big fat zero.

Really screws people on the new-every-year plan, because now I'll be paying-off an iPhone 6S+. I will be demanding some kind of compensation or accommodation.

It's not their fault that they don't have much availability. It is that they screwed-up their order system, and trade-in is not possible.

Edit: I managed to upgrade! I had to go wandering off on the ATT site and stumbled into a page where I could choose the upgrade option. I wish I could tell others how to get there - but ... no clue!

They claim delivery by Nov. 3.

Makes sense, since nobody would ever figure out how to do an upgrade order.

Couldn’t get an order in, huh?

Been there. Done that. Chose not to. After forking significantly over 10K to Apple over the years I decided to approach my Apple habit differently. But no doubt people are def going to get a major retail “fix” over this.

Same here. I have the order number (I did screen shot of it just to have proof in case this goes bad). I got a November 14-24 date on my 256 space grey and an order number but nothing there (but I have seen this before where server overload, nothing in your orders and such and you see mail later). Oh update I just got first email that my citizens loan was approved for when the phone ships so I guess that is confirmation LOL

It does ship till Nov 2nd I believe, so you should be able to call apple and have them make the change before then. Might be a long wait on the phone though.
 
Tons of error messages when going through the IUP process however all ordered by 8:10 and confirmation email sent straight away for In store pick up on the 3rd. This is my first time going through the pre order process!
 
How is it possible you got an 11/3 date when you ordered an hour after it went on sale when those of us ordered within 1 minute with the same carrier and got 2-3 weeks?

Same here. Nothing was working for me at all. App, site, ATT app or site. Gave up, came back 30 minutes later and bingo. Ordered a 256 silver through the att app around 4am. Showing a shipping date of Nov 3rd. Let’s see
 
Give it a bit....as you can assume, the servers are getting slammed. Sometimes confirmation takes a while to auto-send...

Just got my citizen loan confirmation email so that is good enough to know my preapproved order went thru. I have seen this before and my order is not seen on apple site til later in day.

Ordered my pre approved grey 256gb at 1202 when the app let me in, delivery 11/3.

Did a new iUP application process for a white 256gb for the wife and the app crashed. Tried again and it said I had a phone reserved for me and I’ll get an email when the carrier servers come back. That was scheduled for a 11/3 in store pickup though for some reason. Fingers crossed but it looks like I got 2 on launch day!!

Got both my tech21 cases in the mail today and spent some more $$ on a couple Apple 29W chargers. Ready for next weekend!
 
I got two orders in. I'm going to sell whichever one arrives first on eBay along with my 7 Plus 256g Black and try to recover the cost of this phone.

#1 - Apple Store 256gb Grey TMobile, 2-3week delivery.
#2 - TMobile Store 256gb Grey, delivery 11/3.

Got an iPhone X 256GB Space Gray VZW preordered right away for Store Pickup at my local Best Buy for 11/3, also got another iPhone X 256GB Silver VZW preordered for Store Pickup at my local Best Buy for 11/3.

As a backup, I got one preordered thru Apple Store App for pickup for 11/3 for a 256GB Space Gray Verizon. So I should for sure have one on release day!
