Received a reservation number through the Apple Store App around 3:02AM since it needed to verify with AT&T and thought great so was able to order the second phone later and received a delivery date 11/17-11/24. No big deal since the times slipped quick first thing. Anyway just waking up saw the email from Apple about my reservation and can order now which I did and have a delivery date of 11/3. Happy about that because I thought in the past hearing from others they were pushed back in the que.

Before leaving for school my son asked me if he could upgrade his 6 so I told him the shipping times through Apple were 5-6 weeks so I liked on AT&T this morning through the App at least the silver 256 still shows shipping 11/2 to 11/10 for my son’s phone so we’ll see if that holds true.

I'm glad it seems I was in a minority, but this was the messiest pre-ordering experience I've EVER had. I was using the Apple Store app on my iPhone 7. First of all, the store wasn't even up until 3:15. Then, literally at the first moment I could open the store (and I was checking like every 5 seconds), delivery shipping times had already slipped to 2-3 weeks on all models. Both black models still had Nov. 3 store pickup, so I tried to proceed with that, but I kept getting error messages, either when I tried to press continue to get to the carrier check page, or when the carrier check actually tried to process. I FINALLY got the damn thing in my bag around 3:45. Then I tried to pay with Apple Pay, and I got an error I had never seen before with Apple Pay where it said the payment couldn't be processed. So, I tried to pay again, it seemed to work fine, and I reached the pickup confirmation page. I checked my email and had TWO separate confirmations with different order numbers, so it looked like the first payment processed just fine after all. I guess I bought two phones on accident. WTF APPLE. Still got my check-in window on the 3rd to pick up at 10am, so overall I'm fine with that, but that process was absolute garbage.
 
00:30:00: My internet connection goes down
01:00:00: "I' m sure that tomorrow, at the per-order hour (09:01) my internet connection will be ok.
07:00:00: Internet connection is still down and also cellular network is down!
07:01:00: I decide to drive until the 4G network is working.....
09:01:00: I' m in the car, with my iPhone as hotspot and iPad to per-order the phone.
09:05:23: The Apple Store App is still off-line
09:06:50: Finally the Apple Store App is online and I try to preorder my phone (iPhone X Silver 64GB).
09:06:58: Fortunately the App Store App says "Delivery on November 3" in my checkout page!
09:07:12: For some reason my shipping address was missing (I checked twice yesterday that my shipping address is correct and correctly saved.)
09:07:30: Order placed! Estimated Delivery November 28th :(
 
preordered mine through Rogers in Canada. Looks like they are going to want me to switch to a dumb share everything plan in order to get the subsidy price. Why do I want to share everything? I'm one person...Looks like I might be changing carries finally.
 
U should have checked to see what the “upgrade payoff” is. Since my iPhone 7 was a few weeks late last year, I wasn’t exactly at the 12 month period where I was eligible for a upgrade so I had to pay $36 to cover that last bit to be eligible. I did that this evening...no issue with upgrade besides the Apple store app crashing as I’m selecting in store pickup and I had to start over on the webpage. Oh well. 1 more week to wait unless I get bumped up...

I'm pretty sure I was paid up for 12 months as I made went through the process of making the extra payment a couple weeks ago. For whatever reason, it was only allowing me to pay for the phone in full. There wasn't even anything about turning in my old phone.
 
Used the app, no upgrade program, one payment purchase via Apple pay.
Started knocking on Apple's door at 2:00. Finally got in at 2:09, selected Tmo silver 256, and ended up with an estimated 11/17-11/24.
Meh.

Tried Tmo's site after that and, as expected, it runs on my phone like it's in Beta, and thus no order.

Got I the que at 3:00 AM EDT. Waited 25 min at the ATT site. Site kept crashing. Triggered a fraud alert to AMEX. Delay at AMEX 15 minutes to resolve. ATT put a pending charge on my account but they’re sale never did go through. Went back to sleep frustrated. I’ll just hang with my 7 plus til this opens up. Pretty sad support from two behemoths who knew this was coming.
 
Something is not right...

I can go to ATT’s website, select any configuration, it has a ship date of November 02 - 10. How is that possible ? Something does not add up. If I would have to guess I would trust ATT here.


Kind of in a pickle...

I got in through the app. At around 3:04 AM, got all the way to end (silver, 256, att, iPhone program) and citizens crapped out and I got one of those “your phone is reserved” notices

Tried again, but shipping slipped 2-3 weeks, but I still went through it and just bought it out right...

Lol now I’m wondering if I should call ATT’s bluff and do another order with them... and cancel the order with the longest ship date...

Also curious to see, what kind of ship dates this reservation will get me ? I did get the email acknowledging I have a reserved phone. Any ideas if we can get more info on these reservations ?

I can’t comment on the dates you are seeing but I also got the reserved you the iPhone message on both the phones I ordered.

It said to follow the directions in an email I got later within 24 hours. I got the emails a while ago and after following all the way through I have a delivery date of the nov 3 release date.

So just watch for that email from Apple. You will get your date while going through that confirmation process and can decide which way to proceed.
 
You can still get a space grey 64gb for in store pickup on nov. 3 in omaha ne this is at 7:47 AM
 
Something was off on Canada. I ordered 1 min after ordering started and I got Nov 24 deliver for a 64GB Black IPhone X. :(
 
Today was the first pre-order where Chrome browser beat the UK Store App. The app was still down by the time I’d already received my order confirmation via Apple website.

Got my 265GB Space Grey by 08:03 delivery Nov 3rd.

Ditto. Before I got to that page the phone said 11/3 delivery, so let's hope that sticks.

I got the "Reservation Confirmation/Complete Order" email a few hours after Apple was finally able to contact my Carrier, and l was able to complete my order, and still make the Nov. 3 delivery date! And it cost me nothing at the time of checkout (thanks to the ATT Next plan.) iPhone X, 256GB, Space Gray on it's way... :)

I also got a reservation from Apple but they sent the email to finish the order to an old email that they refuse to change. I’ve changed that email with customer service and online but they still use it.

Anyone have a link to the ‘reservation’ page? I have the number. Been on the phone since 8am... 50min on the phone while someone helps me. :(
 
Was panicking last night! Woke up at 2:45am to make sure I had time to actually wake up and do what I need to do :)

3am hit, kept relaunching the Apple Store app on my phone and iPad - then started trying Safari and Chrome on the iPad with no luck. 3:10 rolls around and it finally launches. Dates slipped to 2-3 weeks already (AT&T 256 Silver) but I still was able to secure a pick-up at the store for Nov 3! Score!

I was hoping to take off that day, because I need a long weekend anyways, but I set my pick-up time for 6pm. If I get off work can I get it earlier than that if I go to the store? I'm sure I'd have to wait a bit, but since it's reserved can't I pick it up at any time?
