So I saw with the iPhone 8 before pre order Apple had it set up for those of us that go through the upgrade program, that people were able to pre select the phone they wanted and color, memory, etc and get pre approved so the moment pre ordering started you just had to basically press one button to finalize it.

Has there been any indication on when they will do this for the X?

Now I’m curious which will be easier to get, the 64gb or 256gb and black or silver, In hopes for launch day delivery

I want 256, but I wonder if I preorder right at the 3:01am eastern time when it goes live if I am good going for the big boy and still getting it on launch day

I'm afraid most folks who get up in the wee hours to order are die hard who will go for 256. The average user most likely won't get up to order, so if I had to guess I would say 256 will back up first. I have about 50 gigs on my 7+ so I keep going back and forth on which size to get.

Apple should have had 128GB & 256GB iPhone X models. Too bad they wanted that $999 price point.

Completely agree. I think 64 GB is still an adequate amount of storage, but the way 4K video, Live Photos, applications, etc. are becoming more intensive and consuming storage. Not to mention software updates as well. I think for the price point, 128 GB would have been more appropriate for starting price of a $1000 for the iPhone X.

I guess I'm buying the rational of more space gives you room to grow. So guess I'll go for 256. With the IUP it's only a few dollars more a month

I thought the same way about the iPhone 7+, until the X was announced! Now I’m returning the 7+ (256gb) with only 56gb used and replacing with a X. If you upgrade yearly 256 isn’t worth it, especially with cloud storage and streaming services. Wish there was a 128 available, that would be the sweet spot!

I doubt that. Most people on here will get 256, but there are more people out there that just wanna get the phone for as cheap as possible.
According to at least one study, 57% of those planning to buy the X are going for the 256.

I don’t find that surprising: those of us waiting for the X are already people who are more likely to be early adopters, and we tend to go for more storage.

I need the 256; I have a 256 iPhone 7, and I only have about 60gigs free.

Of Course the supply may be 57% 256, which would balance your chances of getting a 256.

Based on what they did for the 8, I’m expecting it next week.

I'd expect Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I got my email about the 8 on the Wednesday before pre-orders began.

As far as demand goes, do you think of the die-hards who will be ordering at 12:01, the mix between 64 and 256 would be any different than the general public?
