I placed my order on AT&T website in the wee hours on pre order day they then cancelled my order and reordered it the following day now my delivery is sometime in December I contacted them and asked why the AT&T rep said sorry our servers were congested and it rescheduled orders so sorry but we can't help you this really sucks.

I hope nobody claims this is because demand is below predictions.

Apple never said supply would be constrained. It was the idiots who supposedly have great supply chain insights.

I am very confident Apple will sell more of the iPhone X than any other model before it. This is going to be a blockbuster product and deliver incredible returns for investors.

Sounds like the great shortage of the iPhone 10 was greatly exaggerated. Sure it’s not easy to walk in and get one today, but still.

I don't know that consumers are canceling orders because excitement is down. I would say if anything, this is likely the most exciting time when others start receiving their devices Ahead of schedule or on time. If anything, if somebody doesn't like iPhone X, they likely will just return it during the 14 days.
Can you return it even if you opened the package and you turned on the iPhone?

I ordered 7 minutes past too (that was the moment the store finally came up after refreshing repeatedly) and still at "20 november -27 november" :( so yeah :( I feel the same way!
Same thing here. I hope I will see an improvement in my delivery date.

I'm in the same boat. I'll love it when someone in a foreign country places an order today and gets it before me. That'll make me even more of a loyal customer.

Still a sour taste in my mouth when my friend on Sprint tells me he'll get his iPhone X sometime in the next week, yet he ordered it at 5:00am PST... and I was up in the middle of the night doing it on Apple's website for ATT GSM 256GB Black.

I am in the same boat. Got up at 3:00am, ordered by 3:12am (stupid AT&T carrier verification) and my ship date hasn't budged from Nov. 17-24.

My guess is a lot of people are canceling orders now that initial excitement is settled down
Considering that's never been an issue before, and this is arguably one of the most exciting times in iPhone history, I'm going to say you're terrible at guessing things.

Not worth getting it sooner if you're stuck on Sprint :)

Apple usually overestimates the initial shipping time. Underpromise and overdeliver. Good PR.

These phones are just so expensive in the UK right now that I can't imagine there are that many people buying them. Hopefully this time next year the exchange rates will be more favourable and perhaps even a price reduction from Apple.

There's a restocking fee for opened devices. It has been 10% in the past for iPhones.
Of course I wouldn't do that but I ask just in case Apple won't deliver my iPhone on time or it gets delayed again. If that is the case they can refund me 90% from the iPhone price.
I am planning on keeping the iPhone X at least until 2020.

The iPhone X is just priced all wrong in my opinion. The 64GB should have been around $850.00

All I'm hearing from people I work with is i'd never pay $1100.00 for a phone and for the people that will get it...the minute you take it out of your pocket all you will get is OH is that the $1000.00 iPhone? I'd be more concerned with loss, damage or theft at these prices. It's just too much for a phone.

It appears pretty simple and logical... a week has gone by, and they likely ship in batches. Thus those that were showing say a 5 week delivery a week ago; now show 4 weeks. Duh. It may very well be the same expectation of another 2-3 million units they already anticipated to ship around the SAME week from China. Several days ago they ordered suppliers to double production if possible; and perhaps 'some' additional units are expected to become available as gross units will be a bit higher. It's really the same time-frame for the next large batch of units.

P.S. to the prior poster's note about repair/replace costs: some carriers (I know AT&T does) cover loss and theft with their $9/mo insurance; whereas AppleCare + does not. Just an FYI if one is worried about the X-pensive repair and replacement issue. I would love to post more (if you want); but time is precious in my market work (mostly technology and S&P). Cheers guys and gals; enjoy the 'X' as will I.

I was thinking this a while back when it it was available in more countries but same delivery estimates as previous flagship launches. We will find out if thats the case during earnings report or if Apples just producing more.
Remember it is split between the X and the 8/8 Plus. It isn’t quite the same situation as the 5s/5c since the latter was essentially “last year’s” model.

If you order one in most European countries it shows 3-4 weeks. That's an improvement over 5-6 weeks. I hope I will see an improvement of my preorder as well.
