iPhone X iPhone X: which color/storage are you buying? [MERGED]

Space Black, 256 for me.
I currently have a Jet Black 7+ in an Apple black leather case and it really is a black slab when 'sleeping'. The black chassis really completes the effect.
So, the closest I can come with an X is Space Black with the black leather case; that's what I'll be going with.

I think people who frequent MacRumours probably skew to power users and so are more likely to want the highest spec.

I recognise I'm a bit of a dinosaur in this regard, however I have 75GB of music on my current iPhone (my entire music collection - no streaming at present). I also have a modest 10.4GB of photos. With other apps on the phone is comes to about 124GB, so 128GB wouldn't be enough and 64GB is nowhere near enough for my usecase.had enough of the matte black tbh, so the only alternative by all means. Since a 64GB model is a downgrade, 256GB I guess albeit still not entirely on board with all that excessive storage
If you live somewhere with poor cell coverage then I think high levels of on-device storage are pretty essential.
I'm more worried about the stainless steel showing scratches than the glass. Very curious how it's going to turn out, especially in light of the SS Apple Watch scratching like crazy.

This looks pretty evenly distributed as far as far as color, and skewed toward the higher storage. I am leaning towards the 64 because at this point I stream everything with an Unlimited data plan and 2TB of iCloud Drive.
Yep, it looks matte black. I asked the reps in the Apple Store about the "space gray". They pointed out a current model (not the new ones) and it was matte black. They claimed that was the space gray on the iPhone X.
I, personally, hope that the sliver is more popular because I want the space gray . . . uh . . . er black.

Shouldn't that be 256 and not 128? I didn't see a 128 option.
If I get an IPhone X, it would be this color and configuration. But eventually I'll skin the back in black, probably a leather texture to give it a retro camera look. I want the silver stainless steel band around the edges.
I'm not worried about scratches on the stainless steel. They add character and if you polish them, it adds a nice patina.

I'm there with you. I have unlimited data, and 2TB of iCloud storage which makes me lean towards the 64GB. Plus, I have yet to even come close to filling up my 128GB 7Plus. So that's my current thought process. Of course when I log into Premier at midnight on Oct 27th I will probably buy the one that's going to get to my house the quickest
256gb and most likely space gray. I think the white back is sleeker but I don't like the bright silver steel compared to the darker steel surrounding the black back.

Wish I could say the same. I only have 48 GB of the 128 on my iPhone 6S Plus. No doubt, I'll go for the 256. I, too, have unlimited data but fail to see how that will help the storage on my iPhone. Most of it is occupied with apps more so than stored (not streaming) data. Same with iCloud storage . . . won't help me with running apps.

I love my matte black. Getting the white ... er ... I mean 'silver' this time. The decision to have the front panels/bezel be black despite the white back was a good move.
I don't think you'll find 256GB to be too excessive given that you can now film in 4K@60FPS
Space grey 256, not feeling the shiny stainless frame and the part surrounding the rear camera.
