This is going to be interesting to watch how the breakdown ends up being. I'm curious how the crowd waiting for the X will react to the two storage tiers.256 GB is good fit .... but too much $

You can just get a good case and put a tempered glass protector on the front, and save the $200 or put it towards the 256GB iPhone X. Also, you can look into getting third party insurance, which can be cheaper or offer protection against loss/theft along with accidental damage.

I'm currently using 168GB of my 256GB 7 Plus, and 60fps 4K is only going to make that worse, haha. Definitely, definitely, need the 256GB.

The next item on the list is 3.85 GB for YouTube (I’m a Red subscriber and have a few playlists downloaded for times when I don’t have signal (flights, mountain drives, etc))

What’s the point of keeping all those photos and videos worth 80GBs stored locally? It’s not like you’re accessing/viewing all those photos and videos regularly. You can keep it on iCloud and let iOS cache frequently accessed photos and videos.

If I'm not mistaken wouldn't he have to pay for icloud because that is way over 5gb, who wants to pay more per month.
