Looks beautiful, and i'm looking forward to ordering mine.

One question i have is about the carrier logo. I thought that was removed from the status bar on the X. Was that just a rumor? I forget.
It’s on the Lockscreen. The clock is enormous and in the center of the display, so the carrier name can be in the top left when on the Lockscreen. When inside the device it is replaced by the clock.

Users should be able to choose what goes there on the Lockscreen but Apple is too stupid and worthless to do that. Such as alarm status, Bluetooth, do not disturb, rotation lock, etc.

Looks great!

From what I heard, we should say thanks to Anurag who is taking the video of the X. :D (Hopefully he doesn’t get the owner fired though)

I doubt they’d get fired because the X has already been announced and shown to the public. I always wonder if these are allowed to slip out as teasers.

Am I missing something? Why is this a big deal? We know what the thing looks like, and dynamic wallpapers are nothing new... :p

Quite low light... an almost unintended glance... and the phone tried to unlock.
In very curious to try it. It could be a real game changer.

It looks fake, look closely on back cameras
How is looking fake ?
[doublepost=1507472201][/doublepost]
So just looking at the phone qualifies as an attempt to unlock?
Yes. But you still need to swipe up to access the home page after unlock.

Not at Pixel 2 levels just random bubbles flying like jellyfish as in from iOS 7.
What is a "Pixel 2 level" ?

Looks exactly like one of the hidden dynamic wallpapers that have always existed on the iPhone, but for some reason, Apple never enabled.

There was a Cydia extension to enable those. Was called Hidden Wallpapers or something like that. One of them is just like this.

Does this mean they enabled those, or that the iPhone is jailbroken? :-\
It probably is a test device... Thus everything is unlocked on it

That camera bump!
Cool and distinctive... I never understood all the fuss about camera bump

Fake dummy unit. Apple would never release a phone with a notch. Mark my words, by the time Nov 3rd comes around, Apple will have figured out how to get the camera system, Touch ID, and headphone jack all behind the screen. I also guarantee that they will reverse the camera bump so that the cameras actually go *inward* now.

Weird coincidence: I had lunch in Cupertino yesterday and saw a guy with that same dynamic background at the table next to me.

I knew I hadn’t seen that background before, but just assumed it was new in iOS 11 (I haven’t looked through all the stock wall papers since I upgraded to 11). I know it was newer than a 7 because the cameras on the back were oriented vertically, but didn’t get a great look and assumed it was an 8.

I'm curious to see how often this quick FaceId will lock people out because of other people looking at the phone.

Think about it. When people are looking at it it is mostly at times when you also are looking at it, which means it is unlocked. If people are looking at my phone when I am not present, that's exactly what I won't it do do.... lock the device.

Still dont understand how this is considered a silver back. Looks like the old iPod / MacBook kind of white to me

Nope they took em all out besides the colored ones on older devices
Yes they should call it white. And it’s gorgeous, I hated the fact they stopped making truly white products and made aluminium coloured ones instead

Interesting. Not sure why an Apple employee would let someone take a video of it. That said, hoping to grab a 64gb version in black.

Lots of things don't make any sense.

It's strict enough to not allow similar faces to unlock.
But it's also flexible enough to accept changes to your face.

It does not require you to look dead on, but will work at angles.
But it won't see people next to you at a angle.

How can all these things be true at the same time?

This looks nice as does the black one seen in the wild. I saw a comment on reddit about how these ones look better than apples own images and I completely agree with that.

Still torn... notch and price aren’t for me but the notch on this clip wasn’t really noticeable. Then again practically every other Apple app has a white background which will make it noticeable. Can’t wait for these to be released so I can actually see how they look like but I still doubt I’ll buy one.

The screen only “shudders” because his thumb is on there sliding around. Nothing to do with face detection.

It's too late for "testing". If gossip is to be believed, Apple has begun production and is ramping up to full-scale volumes. You don't "test" at that point.
Why can't they still be testing for software purposes? I mean 11.1 is still in beta. Maybe certain features are only enable for the X and need to be tested for that specific device.

Totally fake. Apple would never design this.

I wish. Well, I like the X, don’t mind the “notch” at all. But I dislike the same thing I’ve disliked for years. Bloody camera bump.

I really would prefer a fat phone with no bump. Maybe they should make 2 versions of each iPhone. One as they are and a nice fat one with a mahoosive battery and no bump. Well, I’d buy it anyway :D

This phone looks so dated with it's thickness to footprint ratio. The massive side bezels are horrendous. It looks like a 3GS with smaller chin and forehead. Not even slightly modern looking. And I'm referring to the actual iPhone X, not this leak. Yikes!
