Most probably the telcos of respective countries are already doing testing, hence the rampant leaks.

In no way is this surprising. Apple product testers and celebs most likely.

Once the phone was announced on the keynote, the shackles are off. It's basically released to those who are privileged enough.

The world is flat and man never walked on the moon. Yeah, right.

You should download and try Xcode v10 with it's new emulator which lets you play with a virtual iPhone X.
I've been working with it on Apps since the iPhone X announcement and I have to say I do actually like the notch. Didn't when I first saw it, on stage and on the emulator, but now I've had time to adapt apps to it I think the original iPhone format looks very dated and the notch is actually kinda cool.

Mark my words...

I think he was being sarcastic, the «headphone jack behind the screen» bit makes his intentions quite clear.

A classic example of the Apple version of the Stockholm Syndrome.

Happens every time Apple comes out with a strange design. First denial, then dislike, then acceptance, and in a couple of years it'll become the "best design ever!"

:D (just playing, no offense meant)

I'm curious to see how often this quick FaceId will lock people out because of other people looking at the phone.

It won’t work like that, if you watch the promotional video you can see a specific path the dot projector emits. You have to be the one in the center of its path and not someone off at the side.

Ok that camera bump has been there now for how many years? Time to get over it already. As almost everyone puts a case on their phone it actually does nothing anyway.

I like the camera bump to be honest. It makes you feel like you’re phone has an advanced camera system like a dslr camera. It is pretty advanced and Apple wants to show it off.

It prevents the back of the phone from being scratched when on its back without a case.

It fits nicely, almost flush when a case is on it, making it look really good, better than if it were sunken inside.

Haha funny but true though. Apple design grows on us, and when you look back at something we used to use, it just seem so primitive like wth is that.

LOL!

I didn't like the notch at first when the renders showed it white. Yeesh. I don't mind the black because it blends in better. Would I like it if it didn't exist? Sure, but I suspect it has to for now.

Because it has not been released officially yet. Yes, apple already revealed it, but figured these people testing would maybe do it not so right in the open.

Why not? I doubt they're out giving testing demos to thousands of people daily. They're just using their phones. We all use our phones. These are their phones now.

Some of the major gripes with the iPhone X hardware and software UX can easily be resolved, while still maintaining brand identity to differentiate from competitors.

This was an excellent opportunity for the X to really pave the future, instead what was revealed seemed half-baked UX and hardware wise.

Sent an email and product feedback to Apple on my enhanced design implementation for the X. No issue with FaceID.

Fake dummy unit. Apple would never release a phone with a notch. Mark my words, by the time Nov 3rd comes around, Apple will have figured out how to get the camera system, Touch ID, and headphone jack all behind the screen. I also guarantee that they will reverse the camera bump so that the cameras actually go *inward* now.

You the man. lol
