I think you and many others including myself have not seen the same issues. Many have surmised that this is likely a software problem, others think its hardware because of the FCC report. The thing is no one knows for sure, just like no one knows how many potentially have the issue.
I am not for one minute going to deny that there are some that are having issues as there is no reason for folks to come in a forum and make that up, just like there is no reason for those of us that aren't having the issue to come in and say we aren't if we really are.
I say if you are having the issue by all means contact Apple... If you aren't then enjoy your device, you happen to get a good one. No is shouldn't be hit or miss with these devices, but it's not the first time we've seen stuff like this on a new release phone. Apple will have a choice to make, which is to figure out what the heck is going on here and if necessary even do a recall on those that keep them, though I suspect if something doesn't give between now and the 14 day return window many will opt to do that and just wait to see what happens. If I were having the issue that is what I would likely do. However, there is no way in hell I am going to Android, that is just not an option.
Just for the record, I've not had the reception issue, I've not seen no service, switching between LTE and 4G or 3G. My Wifi logs in the minute I walk into my home or office and connects to the 5Ghz connection even though we run 2.4Ghz as well because we have equipment that can only connect to that. I wish that was the case for everyone.
Right. I should also clarify, I’m not saying I’m not having an issue to annoy people, or to deny that anyone else is. I’m just adding a datapoint to many. I’m sure some people are having issues and that it’s aggravating.
