Oh come on, that's truly repulsive what you've just written. There's also millions of people who can't afford to eat along with 65 million people who are displaced through war or climate change. The world is in such a disgusting mess simply through greed! And Apple is promoting greed more than any other company these days. It's a matter of perspective. There are over 8 million taxpayers in the US with an AGI over 500k. This is barely a day's income for them.
Guys keep buying so we can make it 2k base model by 2019!
All true, so what is your fix? Free iPhones for everybody? I'd vote for thatOh come on, that's truly repulsive what you've just written. Actually it’s the opposite in many cases. It’s not always dumb rich people but dumb poor people who have a lot of this obnoxiously priced stuff. You’d be surprised the amount of rich people you encounter every day that just live a modest life and appear average. The people who flaunt it usually have 10 credit cards, a second mortgage and an overdrafted account ever other week just to look cool or live vicariously through their children. Thanks to their dumb, rich parents.
it's right now 2000K in Europe. They are just openly sh***ing on users' heads. Greed, ignorance, almost no innovation and greed agan - this is today's Apple.Hooray! Now we can keep "winning" any market share arguments with "...but who has the most profitable phone" for another year. Thank you so much Apple. We fans appreciate knowing we can always play THAT card to settle any debate.
Here's hoping for $1799 next year!
And hoping Apple finance will stretch out the payment plan so we can keep spinning how little it is monthly, when spread over maybe 48-72 months of payments.

Remove the dongle and still no decent charger?
?Because phones are a constitutional right and should be dolled out free of charge to whoever wants one?
Apple is a for-profit business. What they charge is based on how many they can produce and how many people will buy at that price.
If either supply goes down or demand goes up, then the price goes up. This is basic economics that every high school kid knows.
And with the XS 512Gb coming in at A$2,369.00. It's too expensive it's not even funny.
Almost the same price here in Canada. I love how Apple will do the USD-CAD exchange, and then just add like $100 on top.
All that work to make it look nice, and then we cover it up in a ridiculously large case because zomg $1500.
The iPhone XS: named after Apple’s profits.
Except that the mark up we have to swallow down here in Oz, is way way beyond the exchange rate of $US to $AU. It's cheaper to fly to the US, buy a phone there than buy it here.
Steve was good for consumers, Tim is good for stockholders.
