I don't think it will be iPhone 5...it will be iPhone 4.1 and a silent revision.

If anything I say there going to release the white iP4 in Jan, IF they're releasing another iPhone in Jan.

I love this forum everyone is nuts

LOL

That's because a lot of people here who willingly and knowingly bought a faulty $1000 phone and Apple's lies don't really like to see their delusions shattered.

A manufacturer who tries to correct a mistake and produce a better device - what a terrible idea for the fanboys!

what phone did someone here buy for $1000????

They forgot to say it is on Verizon too... lol.

That would be my guess :D

Would make sense though. Release new models on ATT first and then wait six months so that supply is steady and they are able to release it on the next carrier with little to no inventory problems.

The antenna issue is barely noticable... no new iphone comming in jan. Is your source your brothers friend's girlfriends's dad's grampa's friend who likes to think he knows alot about apple?

Lolwut!

If this happens it will seriously piss off a lot of people including yours truly.

Apple releasing a new phone in January is akin to them releasing a silent fix.

Neither is going to happen because both would indicate that Apple believes it's necessary to "fix" something. They have already stated there's nothing to fix. So it's not logical nor does it make any business sense to break from their product cycle.

In fact - I would go as far to say that if I was in the PR or Marketing departments - I would do everything I could to argue against any such move.

It would take their already press-battered situation and EXPONENTIALLY make it worse.

I seriously doubt it, but I must say that despite the fact I love my i4 I'd be pretty angry if they released i5 so soon. (Unless, of course they offered a free trade-in-upgrade, which they wouldn't.)

It will probably be a CDMA phone for another carrier, which would require a phone redesign anyways with how tightly packed the iPhone 4 is.

and you actually believe what a corporation publicly states?

thats like saying: After the oil spill, BP said that only a small amount of oil leaked. Guess they were right too eh?

Apple clearly believes that there's not a unique problem with the phone. Every single one of their actions matches that. Why should I NOT think they believe it?

He's not saying he believes or disbelieves what Apple has said.

He's only suggesting that Apple must stick to what they "publicly believe" about themselves.

As another poster already confirms - no - I didn't say I believed it. APPLE believes it. It's been their stance. They "proved" all other phones do the same. They have education materials on their website about antenna technology.

What anyone else believes or KNOWS doesn't matter. If Apple wants to uphold their conviction that there's no issue - then they can't afford to do anything that would deflate that premise.

Is that clearer?

LOL

Do you also believe that "upon investigation" Apple was "stunned" (LOL!) to "discover" that "the formula used to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display was totally wrong"?

Reality check.

yeah its clearer. i understand your point. its like theyre tacitly admitting they have a fault on their latest phone, however, they didn't prove anything.

the attenuation isn't the issue, its dropped calls due to attenuation. you have been mislead as well as many others in this forum. steve jobs did great... at misleading.

No, I don't believe that.

That's also not what I said. So why would you think I believed it?

If Apple did release the Verizon iPhone in January, would they still keep the GSM iPhone for AT&T and just offer it on both carriers? I don't want to go to Verizon. I'm 100% happy with AT&T.

Defiantly not an iPhone..
