iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware Update (Almost) Live

I updated my touch to 2.0 and everything works great, except one problem: it won't let me manually arrange songs/playlists! Syncing works, but not drag and drop. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by re-checking the 'Manually manage library'

Have you tried this..................If you have sorry for stating the obvious lol

iPod Touch 2.0 launch = failure

I hope this trend doesn't continue with whatever they release next. Granted these are all problems that should be completely resolved very soon, this was not the kind of publicity Apple needs.

Fathead: Thanks, I should have tried the obvious, it works now!

brendanspah764: I had no problems, I restored my touch to 1.1.4 clean, then alt clicked restore, selected the 2.0 firmware I got from the torrent, and it restored and loaded up no problem. It took about 20 minutes but now it's all good.

Well I sent them an email. I was half expecting thunderbird to give me an error message tellling me that the itunes store was temporarily unavailable when I clicked the send button.

It's entirely possible that's what they were doing in server downtimes (when iTunes showed 1.1.4 being current). In fact, if you haven't noticed, it's been constantly on 2.0 for a while now.. longer than any streak I can remember today.

Agreed its possible. But if thats what they did, then they need to go and get a few more. I understand that its not cost effective to maintain a cluster with enough capacity to handle a global launch at all times, but thats exactly why EC2 exists. Anyways, I hope you are right and that as we speak (I'm getting the same iTunes Store down message that everyone is) they are adding in even more capacity.
