i wonder what they did to get it working for everyone and so fast all of a sudden. crazy. makes me happier.

YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you apple! FINALLY!!!!!!!! SUCCESS!!! Downloading (legally) for myself now. Everyone else I'd expect yours soon!

YIPEEEE!!!!!!

I Got It!!!!!!!

Downloading now in iTunes....says 25 min left!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!! Will let ya know how it works....

Seems to be working for me too...

This is what I had too, just before I hit upgrade!

Ahhh, finally men! We've passed the time of hell, and now it's time to rejoice!

It's so good, that if we were actually sitting in the same room (big room), we could all go out for a drink and celebrate! But then that would render our entire waiting pointless... so instead... let's curl up in our favorite spot and start exploring the new 2.0!!!!

This update will forever be known as "BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!" release!

:)

I'm going back to bed as soon as my iPod is updated (it's taking a bit to backup and restore)

G'night Fellas!

Got sick and tired of waiting....

And just went w/ the manual install.

Totally painless. Had to rebuild music / playlist library..... but so what.

Anyway, if this one is the final (official) version, there are a few bugs. rotating the screen in Safari seems a lot more jerky than 1.1.4, and I can't seem to locate the "multiple calendar" option they're boasting on Apple's website.

On the upside..... REMOTE, baby!

I recommend the move to anyone. It was an idiot's delight to install.

I rationalize the move by telling myself that they owe me. I drop LOOT on Apple, and my recommendation to others sells iMacs and MacBooks a-plenty. I'm personally responsible for creating about 3-4 "switchers".

Plus, after the aggravation they caused me today, out of planning that can only be described as retarded, I figure $10 bucks is the least they can do. :D

Goooooood News, kinda.

I got in, kinda. I tried to install again and I got several pages into forms and stuff from the iTunes store. I got all the way to the user agreement but when I hit agree I type in my password and get the error message that we all got earlier. :(

I got it 4 free, did every1?

i downloaded the torrent and when i hit restore to download it from itunes it popped up and started downloading

i definitely woke up just before the original posting of this news article. waiting this long sucks, but im sure its worth it.

i just hope it doesnt crash again due to the sudden increase of people downloading it:eek:

OMG!!! FINALLY! YAY!!!

When I found out....I ran around the house yelling "2.0 MotherF**ckers!!"

He he he he, I know the feeling...

I couldn't do that cause it's 5am here and my girlfriend is sleeping... I'm sure she'd wake up and shove her guinea pig up my a$$ if I did that...

I'm rejoicing quietly... ;)

i downloaded the torrent and when i hit restore to download it from itunes it popped up and started downloading

i didnt get it with a torrent but when i clicked buy now there was just something i had to accept and it went onward and downloaded.. didnt ask for my itunes password as it normally does anyone experience this

I've got to say, I'm a little pissed that they shoved it in under the wire. Pretending like everything was working and they got in off on July 11 when in reality they messed up the process, had it not work a dozen different ways, and then showed they could fix it enough to save their reputations.

It certainly didn't help their reputation in my view.
