yeah, me too! I called to see "if they had any"...(AKA...if they would tell me WHEN), they asked what color I was looking for. I told them the slate and he checked and said they had it. I rushed down there, and they had less than 5. All they had was black 32G, but I didnt' care! YIPPIE!!
Congratulations! I gotta say, I'm super jealous, but nice work on your part! So, is it as awesome as we hope it's going to be?

Apparently the knuckle-draggers over at CNET haven't figured out that people want to see that kind of thing. No, don't show us the pictures on the device, we just want to read your wonderful prose on how much better it is than the last one, we'll take your word for it. Makes me mad.
Ugh I still have to wait 2 (1 technically) more days until I get my iPod. Still makes me a little bit happy, that I've seen no one with a red one yet

Holy cow, black 32GB at one of my local stores! Ugh, still not sure if I want the black or the silver/white...
Apparently they only got a few in. At first she said that they had a few and were the 16GB model. I questioned it since they only start at 32GB and she double checked and sure enough, had mis-quoted.

I (personally) think that the black frame around the screen is less distracting, and makes the screen look bigger.

Decided, leaving work in 5 mins, hopefully the still have it. Online Apple order status of "processing...", whatever!

Sorry, Im not trying to bash on home schoolers at all. Home schooling is great, if I remember correctly, 60% more kids home schooled go on to college the year after high school. And sorry if I made it sound like ALL home schoolers are bad socially. Of course not every home schooler has social probs. I just said that because of how people arent around many people during "schooling" hours. Also, crippled had an extremely bad choice of wording. What I meant was socially deprived. I think that fits the case better. That being said, there of course are still lots and lots of counterexamples. For instance, one of my really good friends was home schooled up until junior year in high school. However, they had like a homeschool community going on round there where all the parents and kids got together and I thought that was pretty cool. Sorry again to sound bashy, I honestly didnt mean it. Well Ive got a few more of these to do, probably just copy+paste.

Yes it does. Apple stated during last month's keynote that the iPod touch 5 has exactly the same screen as the iPhone 5, in-cell display included, so we're in for a treat.
I just called the two Apple Stores that happen to be really close to my work. The Berkeley, CA store is carrying the black 32 GB model, while Emeryville, CA has the black and blue 32 GB models. No word yet on the 64 GB ones, so I'm still waiting.
My shipment info just updated to say it is in Anchorage. Is it really only in Anchorage though?

TWISTABLES I loved those things
lol....just to add to the homeschool discussion...I also homeschool my 3 daughters. I LOVE IT! They love it! Its great for us. The twistables are out because I was just grading math before I made the mad dash to the mall for the itouch! ;-)
