Thanks Bud! I almost feel guilty since your's are all on the way still. The Apple employee was a little shocked when I came rushing in and had to go back to check. Took about 10 minutes but she finally came back out with my new iPod Touch and had to look it over herself since she hadn't seen one before.
Must have been a fresh delivery just this afternoon.
Backing up my old device and will pop open the new in a bit. I'll give impressions later, especially around game performance since, well, I do that a lot...
Whoo! Would it also be possible for you to post photos from the rear camera? And a performance and impressions review would be GREAT 🙂 Still waiting here in New Zealand...
YEs yes and yes! I'll post and compare to my 4G with some comparison shots.
Just started the restore process so hold tight! Immediate impressions, it's light and feels really good to hold. It's less curvy than the 4G and more boxy shaped. The camera does stick out about a millimeter or 2, but no real issue with laying on my desk.
The new lightning adapter is really small!, almost afraid I'm going to snap it if I push.

Awesome! Do you notice a big difference with the screens? I am very happy with my 4th gen screen and don't know how much better it could get!

Do you happen to have Galaxy on Fire 2 HD? I have that on my iPad, and I'm really anxious to see how it runs on the new iPod.
Oh, and as a side note -- congrats on the Jetpack Joyride award! Some amazing stuff right there!
From what I can tell, you can definitely view it at a far greater angle when you tilt it and it looks very clear still. I really can't say more than that yet because I only see the battery indicator and haven't adjusted brightness or anything. Funny, first thing I looked for was the light sensor, cannot see one...
Apps are copying now. Going to pick up dinner so hopefully it will be done when I get back.
Also, the earphones definitely do not have a mic and the wrist strap feels like soft leather or vinyl, nice touch!

I actually don't because I was afraid of things running on my 4G and not being very playable. I'll put some games through their paces later one and post my feedback. IB2 will be one of my first since it caused me the most issue. If anyone wants anything more specific, let me know!

Ok, fair enough. If you like space sims at all, GoF2HD is really unbeatable, at least on iOS!

Has anyone found them in stores other than the Apple store (best buy, target, etc) yet? Unfortunately, there are no Apple stores close to me. 🙁
I picked up an 5th gen in blue an red.touches and nano's are available in apple stores in Australia today.they look pretty good but I couldn't buy the red nano 7th gen since it still wasn't in stock
Picked up a Blue 32GB at the Pentagon City store. They had a few 32GB in almost every color and a couple of 64GB in stock.
It feels very light. Almost too light--cheap?
But i Love having iCloud. I used the apple store wifi to sync some songs and I was good to go!

Wow, it's almost painful to watch the 4g load up. So glad I'm getting the 5g soon then!
My order arrived in Anchorage, AK this afternoon and the expected delivery changed to the 12th, just as many of you who placed your orders on the 14th.
