iPod touch iPod Touch - Prepared For Shipment

Just checked the status, and it is shipped.
It says the estimated delivery is September 14th... is there any chance I will get this earlier than that?

You may see it on Monday the 13th. Seems to be taking about 3 days to get from China to it's destination.

The shipments are flown into Anchorage, Alaska where they are checked through U.S. Customs. From there, are distributed to FedEx or DHL (whoever Apple uses these days). The FedEx/DHL guys take the packages to their regional distribution centers, where the mail is sorted and eventually arrives to you.

At least this is how I've come to believe it works.

I guess that depends on the person. Some people don't feel comfortable bunging in those little bathrooms.

wow, shipped friday (well, apple says thursday night, but it got to TNT by friday evening) from prague and my ipod is already out for delivery today - have never seen TNT being this fast before. but since i don't have it in my hands yet, i'm sure there is still enough room for TNT to **** it up.

Wow I love Apple/DHL!
Ordered mine on the 10th and they gave me an est. delivery for the 22nd to 24th and today they sent me a mail saying delivery for the 15th!

Its here! And its beautiful. Bit of trouble registering it under my mums name in cyprus, and so far have not managed to register facetime, but otherwise its awesome.

I have close family that work for FedEx. They say that the route is generated by a computer, and they can do anywhere from 40 to 80 stops per day (sometimes 100+ stops per day if it's holiday season).

My package is currently "On FedEX vehicle for delivery", so I'm in the same boat.
