iPod touch iPod Touch - Prepared For Shipment

I just asked the biggest Apple retail store in the area about when they'll be receiving the new iPods and they told me they won't be getting them for another 2 or 3 weeks. I guess getting it next week would still be quite early :rolleyes:. Mine still hasn't been shipped, it hasn't even been prepared for shipment.
 
Shipped today!!!

Just checked the status, and it is shipped.
It says the estimated delivery is September 14th... is there any chance I will get this earlier than that?
 
On behalf of, it would seem, everyone in the UK who Pre-Ordered, allow me to say, simply:

My Status still says September 10th - September 15th, despite not showing any indication that the order has moved along, since I placed it. At this rate, I'm honestly wondering if we'll get 'em by the 15th - that's seven days away, but it's got longer to travel.
 
got an email last night saying it was shipped. the activity states it left the FedEx origin facility in Kunshan CN on 9/8 at 12:39pm. It's on it's way!

Same boat here, however, they are shipping from the netherlands, I doubt it will take seven days. My money is that we'll get them on monday. I'm more annoyed that I was just in the apple store (was going to cancel and buy instore) and they told me they weren't in, but it seems that some people have managed to get them! (See the unboxing thread)
 
I cancelled my order because this is ridiculous. I live in NYC so there are 4 Apple stores here, may as well just go into one today. :rolleyes:

Not certain, but I had a bumper for iphone on order and that shipped today from the netherlands and others have talked about it. So, it would seem to be a reasonable assumption...
 
I just got back from the mall with my 32GB Touch. First person to buy one, actually. The only thing they didn't get was any 64GBs in the first shipment. Cancelled my preorder, way to go, Apple. :rolleyes:
 
New iPod Touch

My pre-ordered iPod Touch for my wife is on the FedEx truck & out for delivery. Getting it two days early. Will have to test Facetime from my iPhone to her iPod Touch after work today.
 
Whoohoo! Status just changed to "Prepared for Shipment" I ordered about 8pm on Sept. 2 with engraving so I was really surprised. Est. delivery is 13-15 :D
 
anything new from the other european folks? here in austria its still "not yet shipped" (ordered sept. 1).... apple seems to totally **** it up at the moment.

"not yet shipped" for me and i live in the Netherlands. Ordered it sept. 2 in the morning. How am I gonna record the beautiful windmills and tullips here!?

Nothing here - I ordered on September 2nd, at 3:13PM - Apple still haven't even started the process of preparing it for shipping.

I've cancelled my pre-order. It smacks of appalling customer service, that any joe bloggs off the street can walk into an Apple store and pick one up, yet the people who've pre-ordered are gonna have to wait until what - Monday at the earliest? So yeah, I've cancelled my order - balls to Apple, and their "Pre-Order" Service.
 
Woohoo, finally some action. The status is still Not Yet Shipped, but is labelled as engraved, with the option to edit now gone.

So, hopefully, eventually, they'll actually ship the thing! :rolleyes:
 
Got bored of waiting, cancelled my 8GB iPod Touch order. Went into the Apple store in Birmingham. Picked up a 32GB iPod Touch, tripling my GB storage and was out the store in three minutes.

There were massive queues outside and I thought oh no, but it turned out if it was for the iPhone 4.

Love the new iPod touch. Screen = amazing.
 
If anyone from Canada/US still hasn't got their ipod shipped, just walk into an applestore, and walk out with the ipod touch.

oh yeahh!!! thanks for that!! woohooo!! mines the exact same status as yours! maybe we get them monday or tuesday!
 
The Dutch order status page doesn't offer the option to cancel my order or change the gift card inscription any longer, and the US version of said page displays "Prepared for shipment" in lieu of its lesser antecedent "Not yet shipped".

Yaylington! :)

PS – Ordered on sept 1.
