Any of you catch the final cameo? I did... on the first screening in my country, no less:D. I live in Indonesia, so it wasn't that hard... the stupid thing was, the cinemas kept it a big secret, intending to surprise everybody with the launch. Hence, nobody actually knew about the movie coming out until it actually came out.

I really enjoyed the movie, being one of the better comic to film adaptions, at least for someone who hasn't read the comics but at least knows that there is one. Only downside for me was that you'd have to be deaf, blind and dumb if you hadn't figured out who's the bad guy within the first five minutes into the movie... :p

just saw this movie today, and it was one of the best, if not the best superhero movie i have ever seen. No wonder it had 100 mil on opening night.

Iron Man would be screwed if he met Magneto. Seriously. He'd get his s*** ruined.

You forgot, Tony Stark would just invent some super duper invincible material after he come back from the dead with his first Magneto encounter

I read somewhere that he has special anti-magnetic armor or something to prevent such a thing.

Same with Doom, who has been up against Mags, and still won somehow.

Though I wanted more Black Sabbath DURING the movie rather than during the credits :(

I thought that this was one of the great parts of the movie. I didn't hit you over the head with anything, but made you wait until the very end, creating lots of great anticipation.

I really liked this movie. Downey was great. But how about some love for Paltrow?!?! Man she was smokin' in this movie, and she did a great job. I'm also a big Jeff Bridges fan. This movie won me over on all counts.

THey all did GREAT acting! Took me 5min of seeing Bridges into this movie to realize it was him WOW! The dialogues between Downey & Paltrow ... you just cannot direct that - that is the mark of top tier actors/actress and it was spot on! No doubt that Downey would do well - since Chaplin he's been incredible; but always funny since Weird Science, hehe.

Awesome movie and VERY subtle advertisements and hints to future movie tie ins.

SHEILD - IronMan+Avengers.

I think I'm the only person who didn't like it...

I've never read comics, so that maybe why I couldn't get into it, but I was genuinly bored within the first half hour. I was seeing too many cliches (especially the terrorists), and I just started picking out mistakes, or areas that might have been rushed in development. I can't really be any more specific, but I'm just a bit 'meh' to the whole film.

But after reading these comments, I might give it another go when it gets to DVD. Maybe I was having a bad day

And I couldn't stop thinking that Downey Jr looked like Gary from Team America...

I thought it was very good but not great. It's basically an "origin" movie on how Stark becomes Iron Man. IR2 will rock with he goes up against a super villain or two. (salivates)

Anyone else catch the hint that War Machine will also be in the sequel?

As a Marvel fan, I have to say this was absolutely perfect. My ONLY disappointment was the removal of Jarvis the butler, but the AI was a pretty cool replacement.

And when that certain character appeared after the credits, played by that certain actor that looks IDENTICAL to the comic character, I squealed with joy.

Best superhero movie ever? Quite possibly.

I saw and enjoyed it but I can't say that I thought it was better than the original Spider-Man or Batman Begins. Although it was nice to see a modern super hero that isn't as tormented by his past like Batman or Superman. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the sequels. :)

I can't decide about Spider-Man, but Batman Begins is still the best of the bunch for me. Loved Iron Man, but not that much.

I'd have to agree with the above post - Batman Begins was just PHENOMENAL.

I can't wait till July 18th - The Dark Knight is going to be awesome!

Somehow when watching the movie I missed the references to SHIELD when the guy read off their long name. I tried to spell out the acronym, thinking it had some significance, but missed a letter and came up with SIEL and was trying to figure out what that meant. Then when he said "Call us SHIELD" my mind almost exploded.

It finally DID explode when the after-credits ending came up.

Anyone else catch the hint that War Machine will also be in the sequel?

I sure did :)
Loved that comment.

A Titanium/Gold alloy would not be magnetic, would it? :D

Besides, he'd just call in a favor from Spider-Man or something.

Then he should definitely change his name. "Polyethylene terephthalate Man" has a nice ring to it.
It is just a name. ;) I think the original suit was supposedly iron, but the ones afterwards weren't actually. Plus, in the movie, doesn't the media name him? Haven't seen it yet, but I will.

It was an awesome movie...yea I know there was an original version and some of you are skeptical but go see it.

Well .... whatever .... he certainly has had his colours done.

All I have to say is...

IRON MAN, May 2008 -> Cameo: Nick Fury
HULK, June 2008 -> Cameo: Iron Man
IRON MAN 2, April 2010 -> Cameo: Thor
THOR, June 2010
CAPTAIN AMERICA: The First Avenger (Part 1), May 2011
THE AVENGERS (Part 2), July 2011

Mm. If executed perfectly, this will probably be the first time in movie history, where a collection of headliners from separate movies come together to form an assemble cast in a movie event that will make War of the Worlds look like a demolition derby.

"And there came a day unlike any other, when Earth's Mightiest Heroes were united against a common threat! On that day The Avengers were born - to fight foes that no single hero could withstand!"

Buckle up. If they keep their track record and don't go all "Spiderman 3" on us, we'll have oodles of entertainment being served up piping hot.

I'm not into those "comic book characters turn movie" but, boy, this one is absolutely awesome!

As icing on the cake, our local theater is showing it in the DIGITAL THEATER! :D

WOW, just WOW....

And on top of that, saw all the previews in digital as well:

Indiana Jones
The Hulk
The Dark Knight

Now, I want to see all those in digital!

Stay past the credits in Iron Man... ;)

I was also on IMDB.com and for the Hulk, Stark's in that too.... :D

(eagerly awaits the Blu-ray...)
