You must not have waiting until the credits were over.

Just to drive the point home for those who've yet to see the movie - stay until after the credits. I was a bit disappointed that only 3 people (including me) stayed to see the end scene in my screening. Their loss...

That's fan-fic type stuff. I was talking cannon. They actually did go up against each other. Iron Man learned his lesson after their first meet up. Reverse polarity or something, then nonmagnetic metal. Doom actually beat Mags. There might have been mystical stuff involved, but neither is "magnetic" anymore.

Yeah, I guess you'd kind of have to do that, but how cool is it to be able to say your obligatory superhero weakness is neodymium?

I've seen it, I loved it, I'm going to go see it again. Probably at the drive in. Why? Because I'm cheap and two movies for the price of one sounds good to me. Although I'm sure I could watch it over the net but thats no fun.

Although I don't like Downy Jr. that much, he was a good fit for the role. Except he sounded a little slow sometimes.

Saw it this weekend and loved it. Probably my favorite comic book movie since the first Spider-man. This was just a perfect role for Downy Jr and Paltrow and Bridges did solid jobs as well. Howard was quite up to the level of the others, IMO, although he wasn't bad.

It was near perfect blend of drama, humor, and over-the-top super hero action.

And to think...it was a non-studio movie. Marvel made it themselves...so they had full creative control and none of the restrictions and editing requirements that a normal studio movie would have.

EDIT: I kept waiting for Nick Fury to appear once SHIELD was mentioned, but must have missed it?

I was hoping for the Hoff to make an appearance as Nick Fury....
