Really? How could you please tell me? ;)

Well first, you must find a sick cousin who is in need of your I-Phone, seeing as his I-POD broke. Without that, you're destined to fail. Also, the Nigerians with the most cash have aweful grammar. If you find one that talks normally, you're getting scammed. You don't want that.

In other news you could try Craigslist (although, given your location that may not work.) When you set up the eBay auction be very careful about who you let bid, etc...

Haha nice one and it's true to an extent. Really. :)

Yip. I'm doing that now. Hehe. :) Are there any other ways to sell iPhone?

Sir, I am glad to see you are trying to sell your iPhone, as I am having serious predicament being as I am in need of such a phone as yours. My son who is in college in England must have this such an iPhone and I am willing to pay top dollar, $600. However, I am in Nigeria feeling the need to have this now to give it to him. Please mail to 116 Botswana Rd, PO Box 190, Nigeria.

So many kids today are spoiled beyond comprehension, so I say no. You are making the (in my opinion) right decision selling it on eBay. Give a 10 year old a iPhone, and next year he will ask for a 17" Macbook Pro.

Lol he'll be asking for mine in no time. :D

Whenever you get a job and are WILLING to pay the bill,
go for it! Based on my observations with kids these days, you'll have
one by 32.

When I was 10 (or even 18), they considered every kid in school with a pager or cell phone to be a drug dealer. I think it pretty much took the Columbine shooting for school systems to realize, "Oh, maybe people could actually use phones in an emergency."

Anywho, I don't think 10 is old enough to use a $75/month device. I'd perhaps give a kid that young a Virgin Mobile phone, which cost maybe $20 for the phone and a minimum of $20 of call time every 3 months.

I would also hesitate to give a kid so young the Lexus of phones because there's no turning back from having an iPhone. I would have an extremely rough time of readjusting to freebie phones myself.

Let the 10yr old have it... hell my 2yr old has an old 2G iPhone! granted only for some of his music/films and a couple of apps. :p

10 is too young. A prepaid phone maybe. How about selling it and putting the profits into a savings account for him?

I think 10 years old is too old for an iPhone but I am not the parent so I am not sure what weight the opinion would have on the OP.

He isnt the parent either. I think thats the problem. It shouldnt be up to him. However your point is very valid. We can only say so much about someone else's child.

A 10 year old with a smart phone....with a plan that costs over $100 a month.....Seriously?

No, just the phoneitself to use as a .... iPod touch or something like that :)

I gave my two year old my old iPod touch 2nd gen. He uses it under my supervision (I keep it loaded with pictures of trains, etc, and he plays several educational games) ... I don't see what the problem is.

Glad you asked this question I was wondering if my 9 year old nephew was too young to pass on my Mercedes Benz after I get a new Bentley

No problem at all if you don't have a problem with a kid having his own mini-computer essentially (without any supervision). I'd recommend at least setting parental controls.

I will tell you this

I work in a public High school that has it's share of pretty well off kids, even there a Iphone is abet of a status symbol. even when they see a adult with one they make a big deal. the adults are supposed to be the only ones that can have a phone during school hours. which is another question wha are the school policies about a cell. also there is no way for staff to tell if the staff has the cell activated or not. of at least they are not going to bother to see. other then that you know if the kid is responsible as does the parents it should be discussed between adults in private and then go from there.

In todays world we are moving so quick to make our children use technology. I see kids today who are taking laptops to elementary school. What ever happen to paper. I mean I live on a block full of kids that I never see outside. They are all inside playing with technology. I remember when I was a kid my parents kicked me out till the street lights came on.

To get back on track with thread here the answer is no. At 10 years old they should not even have a cell phone let alone an iPhone.

Just give him the stupid iphone:). My little 9 year old cousin has a 2g iphone and his 12 year old brother has the 3GS. They love their phone but they're not totally obsessed with them. I mean what's the worst that could happen?

obviously

too young. A 10 year old doesn't even have friends with cellphones to call.

you haven't seen kids getting out of school lately grade school is full of kids with cells. I started hearing from my daughter that most her friends had cells at age 7  I will say I don't know of any with a iphone she just turned 13. still has a old school cell phone. she did get a touch for her birthday. but many kids in her school with smartphones.
