Yeah but when the triple camera lens came out, the stop light camera looked outdated so I switched.

Great job, Tim

Did you read what I wrote or not? The same essential message I would repeat. Outdated only exists in your mind.

Do what you like. Others don’t care about your superficialities or your tech.

If anything, the iPhone X is the right phone to stick with if you don't like upgrading but want to have the latest tech that brings meaningful change to how we use our phones (OLED + FaceID + Longer screen).

Otherwise, it's iPhone 7 to X all over again with the iPhone 11 Pro to 12 Pro transition.

What I'm getting at is, upgrade to 12 if you really care about the latest "leap" (rumored: 5G + Smaller Notch + Squared Off design) and then be satisfied for another 3 years until the next redesign (notchless + portless?)

I say up grade every year if you can afford it. All bills paid, 401 maxed out etc.

Here now Phone cost is just added to your phone plan, divided by 24 months, after a year you can sell it pay what’s owing which would cover it and start again, just means you are always paying for a phone monthly, But you get a new phone each year, great for business, not so good if it’s just a social phone.

iPhone 11 Pro Max is the best iPhone I ever had.
Ultra fast, amazing screen, superb battery life.
I will upgrade ONLY if the successor will have NO NOTCH :)

Nope. On the monthly payment thing through Verizon ... so I just update once a year now. Used to just buy the phone outright and sell it for 85-95% of what I bought it for ... but after dealing with annoying people on Craigslist and other ventures ... I'm avoiding the hassle now. My favorite is when someone purposely brings less money than they said they would pay and say "oh ... I only have this much on me." Like okay bye ... *drives away*

Depends on the woman as in this age of equality, there is less emphasis on men’s earnings.

Still, anybody can own an iPhone so I don’t see it as being relevant here.
Every time this topic comes up ... there's always someone that thinks that women (or people in general) only care about superficial things.

Well, I planned on keeping my XS Max, yet here I am. If they go back to Qualcom/BETTER modems, I'll upgrade for sure. These Intel modems are TRASH!
Guess I'll decide in October.

IF AT&T rolls out 5G, 2021 is a for sure upgrade.

On a contract, I like to keep mine for two years although I kept my iPhone 4S for five years as I hated the 6, 6S, 7 design and did not upgrade until the X. The same right no for me in that I love the 5.8" screen and the rumours of the 12 Pro starting at 6.1" has put me off 100%. Right now i'm looking to the 11 Pro although since there are zero deals through the carriers on 2 year contracts, I may buy the phone outright, put in a SIM only contract and then keep the phone for a few years until Apple make a smaller Pro phone. I travel and I'm not a fan of huge phones.
For me I use the iPhone for everything - I'm a tech minimalist and purely use a MacBook and iPhone along with Apple TV. This combination has been perfect for me for the last 10 years now and stress free :)

I'm really not excited about the 12 new design rumours. In all honesty, I think Apple nailed it with the X - 11 Pro design.

I’m with you on the X - 11 Pro design. I hated the square look of the 4/4S/5/5S series and hope it don’t come to the 12 Pro.

I’ve been “that guy” since the 3G. I don’t care what others think, I like the latest phone, it’s one of the areas in life where I pay premium to upgrade yearly.

People thinking the notch will be slimmed down this year are going to be disappointed I think. There haven't really been any rumours about the notch so I think it will be here another year and wouldn't surprise me if next year as well.

Kuo is predicting the use of an ultra small front lens to increase screen to body ratio. So yes, there have been credible rumors.
