That's clearly wrong, since every flagship phone from every manufacturer these days are between 5-5.5".

I don't know where those Wikipedia numbers are pulled from, but every "phablet aficionado" that I know barely consider anything under 7" as a phablet and a 5.5" would be considered really small.

Wasn't the first note 5.5? People considered that a phablet. The htc m7/m8 isn't that big either. Neither is the iPhone currently. So not every flagship phone is a 5"+ now.

First Note was released a proverbial century ago, times change. And the M8 is 5".

That is why I said the definition of a Phablet seems to be changing.

5 inch and larger devices were uncommon when Samsung launched the original Galaxy Note as a Phablet. Many people were mocking how large it was at the time.

Here is just one example from this site: https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/14100357/

Actually, here are some other quotes from that thread.

If you're happy using something as big as this as your phone, then go for it Personally, I think it's far too big to use as a phone and too small to use as a tablet, so have not interest in it whatsoever, but everyone's preferences are different

One is a phone. One is a mini tablet/big sized phone (or phablet as samsung likes to label it). Comparing them head to head is ridiculous.

Do you want a 5.3 inch screen or is a 3.5 good for you? It really boils down to that.

That's huge... Why would you want a phone that big?

Just seen the YouTube clips... Wow that is huge

We are comparing the smallest smartphone on the market to the largest?!

Times are changing
