Is anyone returning their 5S?

Great idea. You really should just save that money. At least they could've improved the battery but they didn't even do that.

Who knows why they didn't release the 5 with the fingerprint scanner in the first place?

But $700, I don't think so. It's the same phone.

Didn't you see the release event ?

Apple did improve the battery a small bit. 10% I believe. Not a heck of a lot but they did.

Second rant about the fingerprint reader not being on the iPhone 5. Because Apple had just purchased the company that manufactured it, and it was not ready yet. Don't you read ? You don't want something installed/included and not being ready do you ? People would have a fit it it didn't work correctly.

Funny. Just a few days prior to the release many hated the gold, and also thought it was for girls. Now, this is one of the most popular color to have, and like you, many are returning their grey iphone for the gold, and buying them in droves. Good move. I like the gold myself. Good luck with it.

Okay waiting here too. My wife and I will both be getting our first iPhones, so it will be awesome. She has the older HTC One X. I have the older-than-dirt Blackberry-ripoff from HP called the "IPaq", running Windows Mobile 6.5.

Dreadful phone.

I personally never thought it was for girls. I just didn't like it because many of the press photos made it seem darker than what it really was. I was in the store today and it was pretty difficult for me to differentiate the silver from gold. It's very subtle in a great way.

Nothing. I just had a gut feeling that preferred the gold. It's subtle.
 
I'm happy. I got a Silver 32GB 5s today. Totally agree about how awesome the TouchID is.

Looks ugly. Black home button with black trim and black background is meh, also gray color just looks bad IMO.
 
Hi all,

I thought I'd also mention that I upgrdaed from my 4S 64Gb to the 5S 64Gb Space Grey version on Saturday and have to say it's a fantastic bit of kit, the Fingerprinter Reader is so useful, the only problem with it is that I can see myself picking up my Wife's 4S and holding my finger on the Home Key waiting for it to unlock. :D

If you already have the 5s as a developer phone just return the personal one, if you get the hankering to play with it again just swap sims and restore, realize it's not that big of a deal to you and switch back.

I've been checking random apple store every other day, no luck yet. :)
 
Have a Space Gray but ordered a 32 Gold this morning. Will give the Black/Gray to business partner and keep the White/Gold for myself.

I wanted gold to begin with but after waiting from midnight and being first in line only to find out the store only had Black phones I was rather perturbed and didn't want to leave empty handed and I knew my partner still had a 4S so I get to use the 5S until the other comes in.

ATT tried to get me with the NEXT ripoff but it makes zero sense to me.

It is cheaper for me to just pay the 1yr subsidized price every year than to do NEXT.
NEXT on a 32GB = they take the phone + $324 out of pocket.
1yr subsidized 32GB = $549 + trade in of $305 = $244 out of pocket.

...but I have 8 lines on our ATT plan so I almost always have an upgrade every year.
