I will be definitely! Camera alone = top notch on the iPhone X. The iPhone 8 Plus which my friend has I've been testing it and is way better than the 7 Plus so definitely the X will have some nice improvements.
As for the notch, I'll get used to it very quickly. Most of the time I use my phone in portrait, with that kind of size ratio 18:9? or something. it's not wise to use landscape due to the larger ratio integer alone so it's okay. For landscape I prefer my iPad, much more manageable size.
Price wise, I'm still debating between 64 and 256GB. 1579/1829AUD is hefty at first especially the top tier model, but if my friend is able to I want to get them to bring me one from Japan, it's so much cheaper there, w/o tax I think it's almost 1479AUD which is so much cheaper

. I don't really do video recording often, maybe just a bit for fun and I export into dropbox immediately to save iCloud space... So I'm more inclined towards 64GB since I use maybe 10-15 actual apps frequently with the others in and out (the other 10). Hardly store videos in my phone that long, maybe I will upload 2-4 to watch via iTunes sync, and delete/remove it after finishing so it's about 5-10GB or so+ [30 minutes each at 1080p resolution]...
Only reason I'm contemplating waiting for my friend to get it for me at Japan is because I don't really need Applecare, 300AUD is absurd and that doesn't even factor in the actual repair costs (battery change, glass change, new device , I'll have a case on it on day 1 with probably a glass screen protector. so technically I have not needed applecare since the 2015 iPhones+ A case will do fine. Plus I'm a sucker for ocd so I like my glass clean and safe, a csae will do that. one fumble is all it takes to send your repair costs sky high... [eg broken glass]
I am kinda sick of the 7 Plus size ratio now after awhile and , the iPhone X will be a great addition. <3 At first I liked bigger phones but due to the bigger bezel I'm kinda looking for a newer design so this fits the bill since I want a more manageable size and the iPhone 8 isn't that.
Face ID i'm willing to learn through it easily, I will manage it easily. As long as you know the tech, you'll adapt quickly and you don't complain. That is normally how I roll. Sure I will miss TouchID but I like something new I guess. Plus I'm still quite fond of the 4 pin digit code haha so that can work in my favor one way or another.
Animojis look fun but definitely not the dealbreaker as it is. It's a nice touch, but it isn't essential but to me more of a gimmick... personally.
