I think until we have them in our mitts tomorrow, no one will really be able to confirm it. Not much longer to wait! Can anyone confirm 13 pro and max are really much improved for pwm issue?

See the videos linked here. Can anyone confirm 13 pro and max are really much improved for pwm issue?
actually, I can still see some flicker on the 13 pro. Look at the blue parts of the image...(All links have been edited so that videos will play at the relevant section.)
You can see the PWM in the 13 & 13 mini in this video -- flicker is noticeable.
For the 13 Pro Max, I'm not able to see the flicker. And he has a comment box that says it's possibly flicker-free.
The 13 Pro is similar to the 13 Pro Max in that it's not detectable.
If you look at the 12 Pro and 13 Pro side by side, you can see the flicker in the 12 Pro but not the 13 Pro.
That’s good to hear, what brightness level did you have the screen at?Last Year i had within the first Minutes dizziness and eye strain, this year with the 13 Pro it seems to be better. Played 1 hour and i have only a little bit dizziness but until now no eye strain. But i hope, this little dizziness comes from homeopathic Globulis for my stomach. Sorry for my bad english...
I hear ya. Last years 12 Pros were the first to ever give me problems. Returned it and ended up with a regular 11. Just got my 13 Pro Max. Kinda hard to tell if im over analyzing how I feel or not lol.. Looking forward to hearing everyone else's experiences.I posted the following in the other thread. I'll share here since it seems to have more traction. I was replying to some source Changu was posting about 480hz and pwm being worse this year.
Guys,
I'm somewhat a of PWM crazy person. I've been aware of having this issue for almost 4 years. The source in the OP is not very well versed in PWM. 480 hz flicker should be sufficient to prevent issues with probably over 95% of people. I tried the white point trick on both pro models of the 12 pro last year and it was a no go for me.
I've tried and returned so many phones it's insane. I always reference notebook check and honestly, any phone I've ever used that gets to the high 300's has always been fine. The probelm is most phones are sub 300. Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 5, OnePlus 8T have all had similar flicker rates and those never bothered me. If this is truly at 480 hz, then you guys should celebrate, it means I can upgrade my iPhone 11 and stop using Chinese phones with a dedicated DC dimming mode (Xiaomi)
My 13 Pro will be here at some point today. I'm not saying you won't feel anything at 480 hz. Heck I noticed the 700hz+ flicker on my brand new Sony TV gave me some very minor eye strain after hours of watching. But overall 480hz should honestly be high enough where it doesn't induce headaches and instant eye strain.I hear ya. Last years 12 Pros were the first to ever give me problems. It makes the phone usable for people like us I'm guessing. Will also report back later once my phone gets here and I stare at it for hours haha.
